Chief Minister Distributes ₹2055.60 Crore to Beneficiaries of Nyaya Yojana on “Sadbhavana Diwas”
By TFP Bureau Raipur, August 21, 2023: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel extended a generous hand to farmers, laborers, villagers, and animal herders on August 20, marking the occasion of “Sadbhavana Diwas” in honor of the birth anniversary of the late Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Shri Rajiv Gandhi. The event, held at the Mahasamund high school ground, witnessed the distribution of a significant sum of ₹2055.60 crore to beneficiaries across various justice schemes. Notably, the online payment of this amount was seamlessly facilitated.

The program saw esteemed dignitaries in attendance, including Assembly Speaker Dr. Charandas Mahant, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. T.S. Singhdev, and Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu, who presided over the ceremony. Additionally, Panchayat Minister Ravindra Choubey, Food Minister Amarjit Bhagat, Urban Development Minister Dr. Shiv Dahria, Tribal Development Minister Mohan Markam, along with Rajya Sabha MP Smt. Phoolodvi Netam, Lok Sabha MP Deepak Baij, and numerous representatives of the Chhattisgarh Government took part in the event.
The event marked the allocation of funds to several justice schemes, exemplifying the state government’s commitment to uplifting its citizens.
Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana
Under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel allocated a sum of ₹1810 crore as the second installment to the beneficiaries. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to farmers, and the second installment brings the total input subsidy disbursed to ₹21,912 crore. This substantial amount has benefited 24.30 lakh farmers, underscoring the government’s focus on agricultural development and support.
Rajiv Gandhi Landless Agricultural Laborer Justice Scheme
The event also witnessed the disbursement of ₹168.63 crore as the second installment to beneficiaries of the *Rajiv Gandhi Landless Agricultural Laborer Justice Scheme*. This move contributes to a total payout of ₹758.03 crore, benefiting 5.6 lakh beneficiaries. The scheme is dedicated to aiding agricultural laborers without land ownership, reflecting the government’s commitment to supporting the vulnerable sections of society.
Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club and Godhan Justice Scheme
In addition to the agricultural sector, the Chief Minister allocated funds to the *Rajiv Yuva Mitan Clubs*. A substantial sum of ₹66.21 crore was transferred, thereby reaching a cumulative total of ₹132.48 crore disbursed to 13,242 clubs established to engage the youth in creative activities. Moreover, the Chief Minister allocated ₹9.65 crore to beneficiaries of the *Godhan Nyaya Yojana*, culminating in a total disbursement of ₹551.31 crore to women self-help groups, Gauthan committees, and villagers. This initiative underscores the government’s emphasis on empowering local communities and promoting sustainable practices.
Chief Minister Parab Samman Nidhi Scheme
Under the Chief Minister Parab Samman Nidhi Yojana, Mr. Baghel allocated ₹1.11 crore to gram panchayats in non-scheduled areas. This contribution adds to the total disbursement of ₹6.11 crore, which has been channeled to 6,111 Gram Panchayats to facilitate the celebration of local festivals. This initiative not only promotes cultural vibrancy but also fosters community cohesion.
