MP Rahul Gandhi and CM Bhupesh Baghel to Announce ‘Chhattisgarh Rural Housing Justice Scheme’ in Bilaspur
TFP Bureau, Bilaspur; Sep 24, 2023: Lok Sabha MP Shri Rahul Gandhi is set to inaugurate the groundbreaking “Chhattisgarh Rural Housing Justice Scheme” on September 25, at 12 noon. The occasion for this momentous launch is the “Housing Justice Conference” to be held in the village of Parsada (Sakri), located in the Takhatpur development block of Bilaspur district.
In a remarkable gesture, MP Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel will distribute the initial installment of Rs. 25,000 each to 1,30,000 beneficiaries of the “Chhattisgarh Rural Housing Justice Scheme” and the “Pradhanmantri Rural Housing Scheme.” Furthermore, an aggregate sum of Rs. 5 crore will be distributed at a rate of Rs. 1 lakh each to 500 beneficiaries of the Construction Workers Housing Assistance Scheme.
This high-profile conference, attended by various dignitaries, will also witness the inauguration and Bhoomi Pujan (groundbreaking ceremony) of 185 development and construction projects worth a staggering Rs. 524.33 crore for Bilaspur district. Additionally, appointment letters will be presented to 2594 selected teachers, marking a significant boost to the education system.

The Housing Justice Conference will see the presence of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. T.S. Singhdev, former Union Minister Ms. Kumari Selja, MP Mr. Deepak Baij, and Assembly Speaker Dr. Charandas Mahant, who will attend as special guests. Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey will preside over the event. The conference is organized by Parishad Fire and SDRF and is hosted in an open field.
Empowering Rural Housing Justice:
At the Housing Justice Conference, MP Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will distribute housing approval letters to 30,000 beneficiaries of the state government’s “Chhattisgarh Rural Housing Justice Scheme.” These approval letters will be accompanied by the transfer of the first installment of the scheme’s funds into the beneficiaries’ accounts. In addition to this, the remaining 1 lakh beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Gramin Yojana will also receive the first installment of Rs. 25,000 each.
The distinguished guests will have the opportunity to visit various stalls set up at the venue, where they will interact with beneficiaries and distribute housing approval orders, assistance checks, and tricycles, among other items. Furthermore, the conference will feature the inauguration of a Garment Factory in Ganiyari-Nagoi, operated by a self-help group, exemplifying economic empowerment and self-reliance.
Survey and Support for Housing Initiatives:
It’s worth noting that Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had previously pledged that if the Central Government failed to initiate a survey of eligible beneficiaries for housing schemes, the State Government would take it upon itself to conduct the survey and provide assistance for housing construction.
Enhancing Education with Teacher Appointments:
In a significant step towards bolstering the education system, Lok Sabha MP Shri Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel will award appointment letters to 2594 teachers on September 25. These appointments, facilitated by the School Education Department, will strengthen the education sector. Out of the total appointments, 416 teachers and 2178 assistant teachers will receive their appointment letters.
This move is expected to contribute positively to the education system’s quality and effectiveness, ensuring a brighter future for the youth. The direct recruitment of teachers in schools for Surguja and Bastar divisions, initiated this year on the Chief Minister’s instructions, has been a significant endeavor. A total of 12057 posts were advertised for these divisions, including 5772 teacher positions and 6285 assistant teacher positions. The recruitment process and examinations were conducted, leading to the issuance of 3459 teacher appointments.
