Farmers and Laborers Conference: Opposition Leader Mallikarjun Kharge to Attend as Chief Guest

TFP Bureau, Raipur ; Sep 28, 2023: The Farmers and Laborers Conference, scheduled today, will witness the presence of Mr. Mallikarjun Kharge, the opposition leader in the Rajya Sabha, as the Chief Guest. This significant event will be presided over by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and is set to begin at 12 p.m. in Sumabhatta village, Balodabazar-Bhatapara district. Distinguished guests, including Dr. Charan Das Mahant, the Speaker of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, former Union Minister Ms. Kumari Selja, and Deputy Chief Minister Mr. T.S. Singh Deo, will attend the conference as Chief Guests.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will utilize this platform to distribute the third installment of ₹1,895 crores under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan NYAY Yojana to 24.52 lakh farmers across the state. Furthermore, he will dedicate 264 development works valued at ₹266 crores to the Balodabazar-Bhatapara district.

Prominent attendees at the conference include MP Mr. Deepak Baij, Home Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu, Forest Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar, School Education Minister Mr. Ravindra Choubey, Women and Child Development Minister Ms. Anila Bhediya, PHE Minister Mr. Guru Rudra Kumar, UAD Minister Dr. Shiv Kumar Dahariya, Excise Minister Mr. Kawasi Lakhma, Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Minister Mr. Mohan Markam, Revenue Minister Mr. Jay Singh Agrawal, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Mr. Amarjeet Bhagat, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Mr. Umesh Patel, MP of Janjgir-Champa Mr. Guharam Ajgalle, MP of Raipur Mr. Sunil Soni, MP of Chandradev Rai, Parliamentary Secretary Ms. Shakuntala Sahu, Bhatapara MLA Mr. Shivratna Sharma, Balodabazar MLA Mr. Pramod Kumar Sharma, President of Bhatapara Janpad Panchayat Ms. Sumitra Verma, Gram Panchayat Sarpanch Ms. Pushpa Jayaswal, and several other public representatives.

Rajiv Gandhi Kisan NYAY Yojana: Chief Minister to Distribute ₹1,895 Crores to 24.52 Lakh Farmers:

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, along with opposition leader Mr. Mallikarjun Kharge, will oversee the distribution of funds related to NYAY schemes and laborer’s initiatives to the farmers and laborers of the state. Additionally, they will inaugurate 264 development works amounting to ₹266 crores in the Balodabazar-Bhatapara district. These developments comprise the inauguration of 150 projects valued at ₹176 crores and the foundation stone laying for 114 projects valued at ₹90 crores.

Under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan NYAY Yojana, a total of 24,52,592 farmers in the state will collectively receive ₹1,895 crores directly into their bank accounts. Furthermore, 65,000 cow dung sellers will benefit from ₹5.16 crores under the Godhan NYAY Yojana. Consequently, the state government has disbursed a total of ₹23,893 crores under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan NYAY Yojana and ₹507.14 crores under the Godhan Nyay Yojana. In addition, 33,642 sugarcane-producing farmers will receive an incentive of ₹57.18 crores at the conference.

Mukhyamantri Nirman Shramik Pension Sahayata Yojana to be Launched:

The Chief Minister will also inaugurate the Mukhyamantri Nirman Shramik Pension Sahayata Yojana during the conference. This scheme aims to provide lifelong pension assistance of ₹1,500 to registered construction workers who are aged 60 or older and have been registered for up to ten years.

During the conference, a total of 1,02,889 beneficiaries will receive an amount of ₹55.76 crores under various schemes. Among these beneficiaries, 2,881 individuals registered with the Chhattisgarh Unorganised Workers Social Security Board will receive ₹3.86 crores, 3,236 beneficiaries of the Chhattisgarh Labour Welfare Board will receive ₹1.65 crores, and 96,772 beneficiaries of the Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board will receive ₹50.24 crores.
