PM Modi to Inaugurate Key Projects During Chhattisgarh and Telangana Visit today

TFP Bureau, New Delhi; Oct 03, 2023: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is set to embark on a significant visit to Chhattisgarh and Telangana on October 3, 2023, as he continues to push forward the agenda of Atmanirbhar Bharat and national development. This visit promises to be a landmark occasion, marked by the inauguration and foundation stone-laying of numerous vital projects in both states.

Chhattisgarh Highlights:

At approximately 11 AM in Jagdalpur, Bastar, Prime Minister Modi will dedicate to the nation and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects collectively valued at over Rs 26,000 crore in Chhattisgarh. The centerpiece of this event will be the inauguration of the NMDC Steel Ltd’s Steel Plant at Nagarnar, a project that has come to fruition at a staggering cost of more than Rs 23,800 crore. This state-of-the-art steel plant is a greenfield project poised to produce high-quality steel, promising significant employment opportunities and catapulting Bastar onto the global steel industry map.

In alignment with Prime Minister Modi’s vision of enhancing rail infrastructure across the nation, several railway projects will be launched. These include the dedication of a new rail line between Antagarh & Taroki, a rail line doubling project between Jagdalpur and Dantewara, and the foundation stone-laying for the Boridand-Surajpur rail line doubling project and the redevelopment of Jagdalpur Station under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The launch of the Taroki–Raipur DEMU Train Service will further boost connectivity in tribal regions, ushering in economic prosperity.

Telangana Highlights:

Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Telangana will emphasize the importance of increasing power generation and energy efficiency. He will inaugurate the first 800 MW Unit of phase 1 of the Telangana Super Thermal Power Project, a move expected to provide affordable power and spur economic development in the state. Notably, this power station is committed to environmental compliance.

Rail infrastructure in Telangana will receive a significant boost with the inauguration of projects such as the new Railway Line connecting Manoharabad and Siddipet, and the electrification projects between Dharmabad – Manoharabad and Mahabubnagar – Kurnool. The electrification initiatives aim to enhance train speed and promote environmentally friendly rail transport in the region. Additionally, the Siddipet-Secunderabad-Siddipet train service will be flagged off, benefiting local commuters.

In an endeavor to enhance healthcare infrastructure, Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone for 20 Critical Care Blocks (CCBs) across Telangana under the Pradhan Mantri – Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission. These CCBs will be strategically located in various districts, bolstering critical care capabilities and ultimately benefiting the people of the state.
