OPJU Hosts 4th International Conference on Sustainable Development and Innovation
TFP Bureau, Raipur, Nov 2, 2023: The School of Management at OP Jindal University, Raigarh is set to host the 4th International Conference on ‘Role of Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Management for Sustainable Development’ on November 3rd and 4th, 2023. This two-day conference will take place in a hybrid mode at the Sayaji Hotel, Raipur.
Dr. Saket Jeswani, the Vice Chairman of the conference and Head of the School of Management, stated that the collaboration between OP Jindal University, Sohar University in Oman, and Josh Maria College in the Philippines aims to create a platform for stakeholders involved in areas of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Management. The conference’s objective is to highlight their roles in sustainable development, serving as an interdisciplinary platform to discuss innovations and solutions to address challenges in achieving sustainable development goals. Distinguished speakers from academia and industry will present their insights on various aspects related to innovation, entrepreneurship, and management.
Dr. R. D. Patidar, Vice Chancellor of OP Jindal University and Chairman of the conference, highlighted that the gathering is not only meant for those involved in innovation, entrepreneurship, and management but also for researchers engaged in interdisciplinary areas focusing on sustainable development. The conference will hold opening and closing sessions, two keynote sessions, 23 technical sessions, and two workshops.
The inauguration will be presided over by Professor Rajeev Prakash, Director of the Indian Institute of Technology, Bhilai, along with esteemed guests such as Dr. M.K. Verma, Vice Chancellor of CSVTU, Bhilai, and other dignitaries. Notable speakers including Dr. Hamdan Sulaiman Al Fazari from Sohar University (online), Dr. Felix Chavez Jr., President of JMC Inc., Philippines (online), C.S. Shri Sharad Kankani, President of ICSI (Raipur Chapter), and Shri Pradeep Tandon, President of Corporate Affairs at Jindal Steel & Power, will also address the conference.
The conference will facilitate keynote talks, paper presentations, and technical sessions by experts in the field. A total of 170 research papers will be presented, selected out of 255 research abstracts for their quality and originality. Notably, OP Jindal University, established in 2014 under the State Bill Act 13, is committed to providing top-notch education, featuring world-class curriculum, faculty, modern teaching methodologies, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and a thriving campus.
