TFP Bureau, Raipur, Nov 24, 2023: Chief Electoral Officer, Mrs. Reena Babasaheb Kangale, conducted an inspection at the counting site situated in the Agricultural Produce Market complex of Kawardha on Thursday. Accompanied by Kabirdham Collector and District Election Officer, Mr. Janmejay Mahobe, and Superintendent of Police, Dr. Abhishek Pallav, Mrs. Kangale assessed the preparations for counting votes in assembly constituencies 71-Pandariya and 72-Kawardha.
During the inspection, Chief Electoral Officer Mrs. Kangale scrutinized the security arrangements at the strongroom, obtaining detailed information about CCTV cameras, deployed security forces, and arrangements for counting postal ballots. She emphasized the issuance of passes to all personnel engaged in various necessary tasks, including officers involved in vote counting on the designated day. Mrs. Kangale instructed the authorities to ensure proper seating arrangements for political party agents in the counting hall.
Mrs. Reena Babasaheb Kangale urged candidates and their election agents to provide mandatory information about the guidelines received from the Election Commission regarding the vote counting process. Discussions covered security measures, facilities in the media center, counting materials, postal ballot counting, EVM and VVPAT tallying procedures, sealing of EVMs, and the post-counting declaration of results.
Returning officers for the respective assembly constituencies and other officials were present during the inspection.
