Adani Skill Development Centre Empowers 100 Trainees with Certificates and Appointments

Promising Futures for Assistant Electricians and Sewing Machine Operators

TFP Bureau, Ambikapur; Nov 25, 2023: A significant milestone was achieved as 100 trainees from Adani Skill Development Centre, Salhi village, received certificates and appointment letters during a distribution program held on Wednesday. The event marked a crucial moment for the youth of the area and was organized under the social initiatives of Rajasthan State Electricity Generation Corporation Limited (RRVUNL).

The ceremony, attended by key figures including Mr. Jhallu Ram, Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Parsa, Mr. Ram Dwivedi, Cluster HR Head of Adani Enterprises Surguja, Mr. Rajesh Sao from Land Department, and Mr. Saurabh Singh from Adani Foundation, celebrated the achievements of 175 youths from villages Parsa, Gumga, Salhi, Tara, and Janardanpur, directly impacted by mining activities. Out of these, 100 trainees in Assistant Electrician trade and 75 in Sewing Machine Operator trade successfully completed their training for the years 2022-23 and 2023-24.

On November 22, 2023, certificates were awarded to the accomplished trainees, and 17 of them received appointment letters. Despite challenges in coal excavation work due to land unavailability, RRVUNL has undertaken developmental initiatives to empower local youth and provide them with opportunities for a brighter future.

Appointment letters for the Assistant Electrician position were handed over to 17 trainees by M/s Advik Hi-Tech Pvt. Ltd., Pune, Maharashtra, under the Campus Placement Scheme by Adani Skill Development Centre. These individuals will receive an initial salary of Rs 14,450/- per month along with additional benefits. Furthermore, counseling is underway for 30 trainees aiming for the position of Sewing Machine Operator at M/s Knight Gallery, Tiruppur Company, Tamil Nadu, offering an initial salary of Rs 11,750/- per month.

In addition to excelling in mine operations, RRVUNL is committed to various programs focusing on health, education, self-employment, and infrastructure development under social concerns in its project-affected villages. Initiatives like Project Utthan are connecting tribal communities to mainstream opportunities, including the establishment of a free English-medium school for tribal children and the integration of digital technology in nearby government schools, enhancing the quality and interest in education.
