Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari, also echoed the sentiment of relief and happiness as 41 trapped laborers in the Silkyara Tunnel Collapse were successfully rescued. He lauded the well-coordinated effort by multiple agencies, hailing it as one of the most significant rescue operations in recent years.

Despite numerous challenges, various departments and agencies worked seamlessly, showcasing tireless and sincere efforts, complemented by prayers from all. Shri Gadkari expressed deep gratitude to every agency and individual involved in the rescue operation, including international rescue experts, administrative officers, and the Uttarakhand government for their swift and effective response.
Acknowledging the constant monitoring and guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi throughout the operation, Shri Gadkari also thanked CM Uttarakhand Shri Pushkar Dhami and General V K Singh(Retd.), who camped at the site during the operation. The Minister reserved a special note of thanks for the officers and engineers of MoRTH for their sincere efforts.
