TFP Bureau, Raipur, Dec 05, 2023: In a motivational address to the students of Hidayatullah National Law University, Vice President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar highlighted the abundant opportunities available to the youth in India. Speaking at the event on Sunday, he emphasized the country’s progress in various fields and urged the students to seize the moment and contribute to India’s development.
Vice President Dhankhar began by celebrating India’s achievements, citing the successful Chandrayaan mission to the Moon’s South Pole and the historic passing of the Women’s Reservation Bill in Parliament. He noted that India, once counted among the world’s weaker economies a decade ago, has now risen to become the fifth-strongest economy globally, surpassing nations like France and the UK.
Reflecting on the transformative leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice President Dhankhar conveyed the government’s commitment to providing inclusive, ambitious, and decisive leadership. He encouraged the youth to identify their talents and emphasized that the government stands ready to support them in realizing their potential.
The Vice President stressed the importance of equality and law in a democracy, asserting that no one should be above the law. He applauded the current judicial system’s efforts to ensure timely access to justice, thanks to a talented Chief Justice who has facilitated easier access to the judicial system.
Addressing the challenges posed by disruptive technologies, Vice President Dhankhar assured the students that India is well-prepared to face these challenges head-on. He highlighted India’s prominence on the global stage, noting that it is a safe and attractive destination for investment.
Sharing notable statistics, the Vice President mentioned that India’s digital transactions have surpassed those of the UK, USA, France, and Germany. He also praised the rising per capita data consumption, emphasizing India’s unparalleled progress.
Reflecting on the passage of the Women’s Reservation Bill, Vice President Dhankhar called it a historic achievement, anticipating increased women’s participation in politics. He lauded India’s recent achievements, including the successful landing of Chandrayaan 3 on the Moon’s South Pole.
The Vice President proudly announced the declaration of August 23 as National Space Day, marking a significant achievement for India in space exploration. He urged everyone to take pride in India’s rich cultural heritage and civilization, which were acknowledged during the G-20 summit.
Concluding his address, Vice President Dhankhar commended Prime Minister Modi’s foresight, noting achievements such as universal access to toilets, gas cylinders, and tap water. He mentioned the fast-paced progress in quantum computing and hydrogen synthesis, highlighting India’s unique standing in the world.
The event witnessed the presence of Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh and Vice-Chancellor of Hidayatullah National Law University, Ramesh Sinha, former judge Professor Dr. Vivekananda, Justice D. Raghuram, and other dignitaries. The Vice President concluded by inviting the students to visit the new Parliament House, fostering a sense of national pride and ambition among the young minds.
