TFP Bureau, Bhopal, Dec 13, 2023: In a dazzling ceremony at Motilal Stadium in Bhopal, Dr. Mohan Yadav was sworn in as the 20th Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday. The oath of office and secrecy was administered by Governor Mangu Bhai Patel in the presence of a distinguished gathering.
The event witnessed the swearing-in of two Deputy Chief Ministers, Jagdish Deora and Rajendra Shukla, adding to the significance of the occasion. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP National President JP Nadda graced the ceremony, highlighting the national importance of the leadership transition in Madhya Pradesh.

Prominent figures, including Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari, Jyotiraditya Scindia, former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Assembly Speaker and former Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, State President VD Sharma, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Assam Chief Minister Hemanta Biswa Sharma, representatives from the Sant community, and a large gathering of people, participated in the event.
Dr. Mohan Yadav’s political journey has been marked by dedication and service. Born on March 25, 1965, he graduated from Ujjain University with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree. His academic pursuits continued as he earned an LLB, Master of Arts (MA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), and a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) from the same university.
He married to Seema Yadav, the couple is blessed with three children—two sons and one daughter.
Dr. Mohan’s foray into politics began with active involvement in students’ politics and a dedicated membership in the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. Transitioning to electoral politics in 2013, he secured victory in the Ujjain South constituency, defeating Congress candidate Jaysingh Darbar. Re-elected in the 2018 and 2023 Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections, Dr. Mohan Yadav has consistently represented the Ujjain South constituency.
In 2020, he assumed a ministerial role in the Madhya Pradesh government under former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, serving as the Minister of Education until 2023. Dr. Mohan Yadav’s swearing-in ceremony marked the beginning of a new chapter in Madhya Pradesh’s political landscape, with high expectations for continued progress and development under his leadership.
