TFP Bureau, Raipur; Dec 19, 2023: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai extended heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Raman Singh during today’s parliamentary session as Dr. Singh achieved a unanimous election as the Speaker of the Assembly. Praising Dr. Singh’s rich political career, Shri Vishnu Dev Sai highlighted his diverse roles as Chief Minister, Member of Parliament, Member of Legislative Assembly, and Union Minister, having held the latter position thrice. The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude for the continuous blessings and guidance he has received from Dr. Raman Singh.
Shri Vishnu Dev Sai emphasized Dr. Singh’s extensive experience in parliamentary traditions and legislative affairs, anticipating that the House would greatly benefit from his wealth of knowledge. The Chief Minister also lauded Dr. Raman Singh’s amiable, unassuming demeanor and his reputation for fostering inclusivity.
Protem Speaker Shri Ramvichar Netam formally announced Dr. Raman Singh’s unanimous election as the Speaker in the House, following which Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai and Leader of Opposition Dr. Charandas Mahanta escorted him to the presidential post as per established tradition.
