TFP Bureau, Raipur, January 26, 2024: On the auspicious occasion of the 75th Republic Day, Governor Shri Biswabhusan Harichandan addressed the gathering at the police parade ground in Capital Raipur, extending heartfelt congratulations and good wishes to all.

In a poignant tribute, the Governor invoked the undying spirit of martyrs and freedom fighters, whose sacrifices paved the way for an independent India and the crafting of the constitution. He saluted those whose efforts contributed to the creation of India’s constitution, highlighting its endurance through challenges and marking the Republic’s Amrit Mahotsav.

Governor Harichandan paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Swatantrya Veer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, and other key figures in India’s freedom struggle. He acknowledged the contributions of leaders like Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Babasaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, shaping India into a successful democratic republic.

The Governor also recognized the present leadership, President Mrs. Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, showcasing how individuals from ordinary families can rise to the country’s highest positions and contribute significantly. He emphasized India’s global impact through principles of equality and the Right of Justice.

Highlighting the importance of Republic Day, Governor Harichandan called for a renewed belief in individual rights and constitutional values. He stressed the need to fulfill basic needs, providing development opportunities for all citizens.

The Governor lauded the collaborative efforts of the central and state governments, detailing Chhattisgarh’s progress in fulfilling promises. He commended initiatives like ‘Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana,’ providing homes for rural families, and economic empowerment measures for farmers. The ‘Krishak Jeevan Jyoti Yojana’ providing free electricity to farmers and the ‘Saur Sujala Yojana’ installing solar irrigation pumps were highlighted as successful endeavors.

Governor Harichandan shared plans for the ‘Mahtari Vandan Yojana,’ aimed at promoting economic self-reliance and empowerment of women. Additionally, he acknowledged achievements under ‘Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana’ and ‘Jal Jeevan Mission,’ emphasizing the provision of tap water to households.

The Governor praised the expansion of the ‘Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana’ to provide free rice to eligible families for the next 5 years. He also outlined efforts to impartially investigate injustices, particularly the decision for a CBI inquiry into the PSC case.

Acknowledging the cultural and spiritual importance of Lord Shri Ram, Governor Harichandan announced the ‘Shri Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana’ for pilgrimage facilitation. He commended Chhattisgarh’s third cleanest state recognition in Swachh Sarvekshan 2023.

Governor Harichandan expressed optimism in initiatives like ‘Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adiwasi Nyay Maha Abhiyaan’ and ‘Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra,’ promoting awareness and inclusion in central schemes.

Concluding his address, the Governor reiterated the commitment to comprehensive development for all sections of society, echoing the principles of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay’s “Aikatm Manav Vad.” He emphasized the shared responsibility to realize Atal Ji’s dream of transforming Chhattisgarh into a region free from Naxal influence, marked by robust law and order and sustainable development.
