Finance Minister Shri OP Chaudhary to Present Budget Reflecting State’s Heritage and Modernity

TFP Bureau, Raipur; February 9, 2024: In a historic move, Chhattisgarh is poised to introduce its first-ever paperless digital budget, marking a significant milestone in the state’s financial history. Finance Minister Shri OP Chaudhary will unveil this landmark budget, encapsulating the essence of Chhattisgarh’s folk art, culture, and modernity, in the assembly today.

The budget briefcase, an emblem of tradition and innovation, showcases the renowned Dhokra craft, emblematic of the state’s indigenous tribal heritage. Notably, this ancient art form gained international recognition when Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi presented it to the Prime Minister of Greece, highlighting its global appeal.

Adorning the budget briefcase are images depicting Bharat Mata and Chhattisgarh Mahtari, symbolizing the state’s pivotal role in India’s development journey. The presence of paddy earrings signifies the government’s farmer-centric approach and unwavering commitment to prioritizing the welfare of farmers.

Emblazoned with a golden map of Chhattisgarh, the briefcase signifies the government’s vision to elevate the state to new heights of prosperity and governance excellence, aiming to transform it into a golden state within the nation.

The inscription “Budget of the foundation of Amrit period” signifies the state’s continued alignment with central schemes, ensuring the populace reaps the benefits of national initiatives. Additionally, the term “Great CG” represents the government’s core principles of Guarantee, Reform, Economic Growth, Achievement, Technology, Synergy, and Good Governance.

This inaugural budget under Finance Minister OP Chaudhary’s stewardship embodies the policy and vision of the Vishnudev government, reaffirming its commitment to fulfilling Modi’s guarantee and advancing the principles of inclusive development, trust, and collective progress for the people of Chhattisgarh.
