Assures Government’s Commitment to Farmers and Technological Advancements

TFP Bureau, Raipur, February 14, 2024: Finance Minister Shri OP Choudhary extended his gratitude to all members of the House, including those from the opposition, for their active participation and valuable contributions during the budget discussion in the Assembly on Tuesday. During his address, the Finance Minister expressed appreciation for the suggestions and perspectives shared by his colleagues.

Highlighting the government’s dedication to the welfare of the state, Minister Choudhary emphasized Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai’s unwavering commitment to the development of Bastar and Surguja regions. He outlined plans to transform these areas into eco-tourism and naturopathy hubs, with a focus on establishing industries for processing minor forest produce, thereby unlocking their economic potential through concerted efforts.

Furthermore, Minister Choudhary underscored the government’s dual commitment to promoting the Gondi language and nurturing Naya Raipur as an IT hub. He emphasized the transformative impact of leveraging technology extensively, which is poised to bring significant changes across the state.

Addressing concerns about infrastructure in new districts, Minister Choudhary assured that the government is fully dedicated to their development, ensuring the provision of essential facilities including offices and colleges.

In a significant move aimed at bolstering agricultural prosperity, Minister Choudhary announced the government’s decision to increase paddy procurement from 15 to 21 quintals per acre under the Krishak Unnati Yojana, with a budgetary allocation of Rs. 12 thousand crore. Reaffirming the government’s steadfast support for farmers, he reassured House members that the welfare of farmers remains a top priority, alleviating any concerns raised during the discussion.
