TFP Bureau, Raipur; February 22, 2024: School Education Minister, Shri Brijmohan Agrawal, has issued directives to the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) to expedite the process of conducting the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) in Chhattisgarh.
In response to Minister Agrawal’s instructions, SCERT Director, Shri Rajendra Katara, has initiated correspondence with the Professional Examination Board (Vyapam) to hasten the arrangements for conducting the TET examination across the state.
Minister Agrawal had earlier announced in the Assembly the government’s intention to recruit 33 thousand teachers in various educational institutions. Subsequently, efforts are underway to streamline the execution of this announcement, with particular emphasis on facilitating the TET exam to enable the maximum participation of aspiring educators. Minister Agrawal underscored the importance of conducting the examination with utmost transparency, ensuring a fair and equitable selection process.
The absence of the TET exam in Chhattisgarh for nearly three years has been a cause of dismay for many aspiring teachers. Recognizing the aspirations of the youth, who aspire to embark on a career in education, Minister Agrawal responded to their appeals by pledging to organize the TET exam in the state, reflecting the government’s commitment to nurturing talent and providing opportunities for professional growth in the field of education.
