TFP Bureau, Raipur; February 25, 2024: In a dual boost to healthcare infrastructure, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated Chhattisgarh’s first Microbiology Food Testing Laboratory and the ESIC Hospital in Korba via video conferencing. The Microbiology Lab, equipped with cutting-edge technology, aims to ensure food safety, while the ESIC Hospital promises enhanced healthcare access for workers. Prime Minister Modi’s virtual presence marked the initiation of several healthcare projects, aligning with the vision of a developed India.
Expressing gratitude, Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal emphasized the state government’s commitment to ensuring pure, safe, and nutritious food for every citizen. The Microbiology Lab, constructed at a cost of Rs 4.33 crore, stands as a shield for food security, aligning with the vision of good health envisioned by Prime Minister Modi.
In Korba, Industry, Commerce, and Labor Minister Shri Lakhanlal Dewangan highlighted the significance of the ESIC Hospital, addressing the healthcare needs of labor families.
He praised Prime Minister Modi’s efforts in propelling the nation’s progress and underscored the state government’s dedication to workers’ welfare. Minister Dewangan elucidated various state schemes aimed at benefiting workers, including healthcare provisions and educational scholarships.
The ESIC Hospital in Korba, equipped with 100 beds and specialized departments, promises comprehensive medical services. Hospital Superintendent Dr. Rajesh Lal Chandani outlined the hospital’s offerings, including round-the-clock emergency care, ensuring enhanced healthcare accessibility for Korba’s workforce.
The inauguration ceremonies witnessed the presence of dignitaries, including Raipur Rural MLA Shri Motilal Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Smt. Renu G. Pillay, and Controller Food and Drug Administration Shri Deepak Soni, signifying a collaborative effort towards bolstering healthcare infrastructure in Chhattisgarh.
