MISAbandhis Honor Fund to Resume Under Chief Minister’s Initiative

Demands for Grants Worth Rs 8421.82 Crore Passed in Assembly

TFP Bureau, Raipur, February 27, 2024: The Chhattisgarh Assembly passed demands for grants totaling Rs 8421.82 crore associated with Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai’s departments, following a thorough discussion today. The allocations cover a diverse array of sectors, including general administration, energy, animal husbandry, fisheries, mineral resources, public relations, and transportation, among others.

In a significant announcement during the session, Chief Minister Shri Sai unveiled plans to reinstate the honor fund of MISAbandhis and establish a milk route and chilling plant in the Kurud area. Emphasizing the government’s commitment to fulfilling promises made to the people, the Chief Minister reiterated the trust placed in Prime Minister Modi’s assurances, citing recent accomplishments such as the provision of Prime Minister Houses to 18 lakh beneficiaries and the disbursement of outstanding paddy bonuses totaling Rs 3716 crore to farmers.

Acknowledging the imperative of enhancing transparency and efficiency, the Chief Minister outlined initiatives to bolster governance and infrastructure. Notably, the establishment of a regional office of the Anti Corruption Bureau in the Durg division aims to strengthen anti-corruption efforts, while provisions for infrastructure maintenance and upgrades underscore the government’s dedication to improving essential services.

Addressing sector-specific concerns, the Chief Minister highlighted measures to support agriculture, animal husbandry, and fisheries. Investments in free electricity for farmers, energization of agricultural pumps, and subsidies for domestic electricity consumers underscore the government’s commitment to rural development and welfare.

Furthermore, initiatives to modernize transportation infrastructure, including the installation of ANPR cameras and vehicle tracking devices, aim to enhance safety and efficiency on the roads. Plans for automated driving test tracks and the establishment of transport facilities centers further emphasize the government’s commitment to road safety and regulatory compliance.

Promoting entrepreneurship and cultural heritage remains a priority, with provisions allocated for village industries, artisanal promotion, and the establishment of Unity Mall to showcase local craftsmanship. Additionally, substantial allocations for airport development and connectivity initiatives underscore the government’s commitment to enhancing regional connectivity and accessibility.

In line with the government’s digitalization agenda, increased funding for the Electronics and Information Technology Department reflects efforts to leverage technology for governance and service delivery. Initiatives such as the Atal Monitoring Portal and PM Vani project demonstrate the government’s commitment to harnessing technology for effective governance and citizen engagement.
