TFP Bureau, Raipur; February 29, 2024: After years of living under the shadow of Naxal violence, residents of Puvarti, the native village of Hidma, experienced a significant moment as they visited the ‘temple of democracy’ accompanied by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai. Joined by residents from Tekalgudem village in Sukma district, they embarked on a two-day tour of Raipur, witnessing firsthand the workings of the state legislative assembly.
During discussions with the Chief Minister, assurances were made regarding the comprehensive development of their villages through the ‘Niyad Nellanar’ Yojana. Emphasizing the long-standing impact of Naxalism on the region’s progress, Chief Minister Sai highlighted the government’s commitment to ensuring development in Bastar and its surrounding areas.
In a directive from Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, a concerted effort is underway to extend the benefits of various schemes to the people of Bastar. Expressing gratitude for the initiatives undertaken, villagers conveyed their appreciation for the recent arrival of electricity and other essential amenities.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma reiterated the government’s dedication to the holistic development of Puvarti and its environs through the ‘Niyad Nellanar’ Yojana, promising the provision of fundamental facilities under Chief Minister Sai’s guidance.
Accompanied by Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Finance Minister Shri OP Choudhary, and other legislators, a sense of optimism pervaded the interactions between officials and villagers. The visit culminated in a group photograph, symbolizing a shared commitment to progress.
As discussions turned to healthcare and education, villagers articulated their demand for hospitals and schools, met with assurances from the Chief Minister regarding their fulfillment under the ‘Niyad Nellanar’ initiative.
In a bid to foster direct engagement, the Chief Minister announced plans to establish a dedicated phone line for villagers to voice their concerns and feedback directly to the government, underscoring a pledge to address their needs promptly.
The journey to Raipur marked a significant milestone for residents, offering a glimpse into the workings of governance and instilling hope for a brighter future through collaborative efforts under the ‘Niyad Nellanar’ initiative.
