TFP Bureau, Raipur; March 6, 2024: In the wake of a government transition in Chhattisgarh, a wave of transfers has swept through the state bureaucracy. Notably, the current administration has overhauled the entire team of the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) and the State Economic Offence Wing (EOW). IPS Govardhan Ram and TR Koshima, along with eight officers from the State Police Service and fifteen police inspectors, have been entrusted with these key responsibilities. Meanwhile, former team members including DIG Prakhar Pandey and SP Pankaj Chandra have been reassigned to the police headquarters, with their new postings imminent. Many of these officers had previously served under the Congress government. Sources reveal that several members of the new ACB team have previously collaborated with Raipur IG Amresh Mishra, sparking speculation that Mishra may assume leadership of the EOW. Additionally, IPS Shivram Prasad Kalluri’s name has emerged in discussions regarding potential leadership roles within the bureaus.
The Chhattisgarh government has issued two separate orders in this regard. The first order, issued on behalf of the state government, details the appointment of Indian Police Service officers IPS Govardhan Ram, IPS T.R. Koshima, eight State Police Service officers, and fifteen police inspectors on deputation to the ACB and EOW. The second order mandates the transfer of thirty-two officers and employees, ranging from DIGs to Inspectors, from the Home Department to the Police Headquarters.
