TFP Bureau, Raipur; March 15, 2024: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai underscored the pivotal role of Chhattisgarh’s development in India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation. Speaking at the ‘Viksit Bharat, Viksit Chhattisgarh’ program in Mohla, he reiterated the state government’s commitment to advancing social and economic welfare in alignment with Modi’s Guarantee.
Highlighting the state’s dedication to the newly formed districts, Chief Minister Sai approved numerous projects totaling Rs. 46.83 crore, including the construction of a fully equipped community hall worth Rs. 50 lakhs in Mohla. Additionally, he inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 115 development ventures, signaling a robust push towards infrastructural enhancement.
In a bid to bolster grassroots development, Chief Minister Sai distributed departmental kits and cheques worth Rs. 18.1 lakh to 128 beneficiaries across various schemes. Furthermore, he virtually engaged with sarpanches from gram panchayats connected under the BharatNet scheme, emphasizing digital inclusion as a cornerstone of progress.
Reflecting on the state’s achievements under his leadership, Chief Minister Sai lauded the government’s swift action, including the sanction of 18 lakh houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and the disbursement of pending bonuses for paddy procurement, amounting to Rs. 3,716 crore for 13 lakh farmers.
Underlining the government’s commitment to welfare schemes, Chief Minister Sai announced the relaunch of the Charan Paduka Yojana, scholarships, and insurance for the children of tendupatta collectors, and provision of gas cylinders under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
In a strategic move to enhance security and welfare in sensitive areas, Chief Minister Sai inaugurated 21 security camps doubling as facilitation centers under the Niyad Nellanar Yojana. These camps, established in Maoist-affected regions, will expedite the implementation of government initiatives, ensuring basic amenities and services reach remote communities.
On the infrastructural front, MP Santosh Pandey outlined projects worth Rs. 800 crore under the Jal Jeevan Mission to provide drinking water in 498 gram panchayats. He also highlighted ongoing construction of the Ekalavya Model School and the installation of a solar power plant near Dongargarh, underscoring the government’s multifaceted approach to development.
In attendance were MLA Indrashah Mandavi, Zilla Panchayat President Geeta Sahu, former MPs Abhishek Singh and Madhusudan Yadav, among others, signifying collective efforts towards Chhattisgarh’s progress under Chief Minister Sai’s leadership.
