TFP Bureau, Gurgaon, April 8, 2024: MG Motor India and Adani TotalEnergies E-Mobility Limited (ATEL) have entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to fortify India’s electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. This partnership aims to facilitate seamless charging solutions and value-added services for MG’s growing base of EV customers across the country, marking a significant step in fostering a robust and efficient EV ecosystem.
Under the MoU, Adani TotalEnergies E-Mobility Limited (ATEL) will install CC2 60 kW DC chargers at upcoming MG dealerships, thereby expanding the charging network and enhancing accessibility for customers. The collaboration will encompass end-to-end solutions including supply, installation, commissioning, operations, and maintenance of the charging infrastructure. Additionally, a user-friendly digital platform will be launched to streamline customer experiences, covering aspects from discovery and user authentication to charging and billing settlement via a dedicated mobile application.
Gaurav Gupta, Chief Growth Officer, MG Motor India, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting MG’s commitment to carbon neutrality, sustainability, and green mobility. He emphasized that this collaboration with Adani TotalEnergies E-Mobility Limited reflects MG’s dedication to revolutionizing the EV landscape by developing a robust charging infrastructure and empowering Indian consumers to embrace electric mobility.

He underscored the significance of the partnership in accelerating India’s energy transition, contributing to reduced carbon emissions, and promoting a cleaner and greener environment.
The collaboration will also enhance customer experience through Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) solutions, making MG users eligible for preferential discounts within ATEL’s public charging network, including key locations like airports.
This initiative underscores MG Motor India’s proactive approach in the EV space, aiming to facilitate convenient and accessible electric vehicle usage through product offerings and robust charging infrastructure. The company’s ongoing MG Charge initiative, which aims to install 1000 charging points in 1000 days across residential communities and apartments in India, reflects its commitment to promoting shared charging networks and easing vehicle charging for residents and visitors.
