Authorities Announce Traffic Disruptions for Prime Minister’s Stay

TFP Bureau, Raipur; April 22, 2024: In anticipation of the two-day visit of the Honorable Prime Minister of India to Chhattisgarh on April 23rd and 24th, 2024, the government has issued traffic instructions and route diversions for the convenience of the public.

During the Prime Minister’s stay, a stay program and overnight stay at Raj Bhavan have been arranged. On April 23rd, the Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive at Raj Bhavan from Mana Airport via Fundhar Chowk Expressway between 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by a return journey to the airport via the same route on April 24th between 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. As a result, normal traffic will be disrupted on the VIP road, including the stretch from Ram Mandir to Mana Airport.

Passengers departing on April 24th from flights numbered 6E669, 6E5073, UK794, 6E2191, 6E6219, 6E6521, and 6E6219 are advised to plan their journey accordingly, taking into account the route diversion. They may opt for alternative routes as follows:

1. Access to Mana Airport can be facilitated by parking vehicles at the old terminal and proceeding via Pachpedinaka Chowk/Canal Road and Lalpur-Devpuri (Dhamtari Road).
2. Alternatively, vehicles can reach the airport by traversing the G.E. Road via Magneto Mall-Labhandi Chowk-Zora, followed by the New Raipur entry road and Jainam Bhawan road to park at the old terminal.

Additionally, to ensure security arrangements during the Prime Minister’s visit, normal traffic will be disrupted in and around Raj Bhavan from 4:00 PM on April 23rd to 10:00 AM on April 24th, 2024. The affected routes include:

1. Kalimata Temple Tiraha towards Raj Bhavan
2. Khazana Chowk towards Raj Bhavan
3. Old PHQ from Tiraha towards Raj Bhavan
4. Electricity Office Tiraha towards Raj Bhavan
5. Banjari Chowk towards Raj Bhavan

Authorities appeal to the public to utilize alternative routes and plan their travel accordingly to facilitate smooth transportation and avoid inconvenience during the visit of the Honorable Prime Minister.
