HNLU and NACIN Join Forces to Enhance Legal Education and Training

Institutional Collaboration for Advancement in Indirect Taxation and Customs Law

TFP Bureau, Raipur; April 30, 2024: Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU) took a significant stride towards bolstering institutional partnerships by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Academy of Indirect Taxes and Customs (N.A.C.I.N.) . This collaborative effort aims to facilitate mutual growth and development in the specialized domains of indirect taxation and customs laws.

Goals of the MoU

The MoU outlines several key objectives, including the joint organization of symposia, conferences, workshops, and educational events. It also facilitates the exchange of information on teaching methodologies, trainee development, and research initiatives. Additionally, the agreement allows for the co-sharing of training resources and the development of collaborative research programs.

Prof. Vivekanandan, Vice Chancellor of H.N.L.U., emphasized the potential benefits of this partnership, stating,

“This MoU will foster capacity building, research, and advocacy in critical areas such as GST, Customs, and Narcotics. It sets the stage for mutual learning and expertise exchange between our institutions.”

Signing Ceremony and Attendees

The MoU was formalized by Shri Shailendra Kumar, Additional Director of N.A.C.I.N., and Dr. Vipan Kumar, Registrar I/C of HNLU, in the presence of esteemed guests including Prof. (Dr.) Paramjit Jaswal, Distinguished Jurist Professor of H.N.L.U. & Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of SRM University, Sonepat; Shri Govind Miri, Senior Advocate at the High Court of Chhattisgarh; and Ms. Shivi Shangwan, Deputy Director of N.A.C.I.N. Deans, faculties, and staff of HNLU also participated in this landmark event, highlighting the collaborative spirit driving advancements in legal education and training.
