TFP Bureau,Raipur, May 7, 2024: In a significant display of civic duty, Governor Shri Vishwabhushan Harichandan and First Lady Mrs. Suprabha Harichandan exercised their franchise at Adarsh Polling Station 170 in Sihawa Bhawan Civil Lines, participating in the Lok Sabha General Elections 2024.
Governor Harichandan emphasized the constitutional right of every citizen to vote, stressing the importance of strengthening democracy through active participation. Post-voting, the Governor engaged in a selfie moment at the designated “selfie zone.”
Joining the Governor in leading by example were several senior officials who also cast their votes across Raipur. Chief Secretary Mr. Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Subrata Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Manoj Pingua with his family, Secretary Dr. S. Bharathidasan with his wife, Secretary Shri Himshikhar Gupta, Secretary Shri Siddharth Komal Pardeshi and Secretary Mr. Avinash Champawat and Mrs. Neha Champawat exercised their franchise at Adarsh Polling Center Number 52 in Devendra Nagar Officers Colony.
The officials, after voting, encouraged all citizens to fulfill their duty by casting their votes and proudly displayed their ink-marked fingers as a testament to their participation in the democratic process.
As voting continues under the third phase of Lok Sabha General Elections-2024, these officials’ proactive participation sets a positive example, urging citizens to actively contribute to the “festival of democracy” through their votes.
