TFP Bureau, Raipur; May 13, 2024/ Embracing innovation, the School Education Department announces plans to organize a voluntary summer camp for students during the upcoming vacation period, running from 7:00 am to 9:30 am.
In directives issued today by Secretary Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi to District Collectors across all regions, it was emphasized that the summer break, effective until June 15, presents an opportune time for students to cultivate diverse skills through engaging in creative pursuits. Encouraging the involvement of both parents and teachers in guiding students through these activities, the department underscores the importance of community cooperation in facilitating the camps, which may be held in school premises or community venues.
Experts from various creative fields will be invited to impart guidance and training during the camp sessions, with parental involvement and support from school development committees also encouraged. Activities such as painting, singing, essay and story writing, handwriting improvement, dance, sports, as well as exploration of local history, among others, are slated for inclusion in the camp’s itinerary. The department clarifies that no additional budget allocation will be made for this initiative, urging districts to leverage existing resources for its implementation.
Highlighting the significance of utilizing the summer vacation as a platform for children’s learning and development, Secretary Pardeshi expressed optimism for the success of the program and its positive impact on students’ growth and enrichment.
