Principal Secretary Inspects Educational Facilities in Saddu, Emphasizes Inclusive Development

TFP Bureau, Raipur, May 17, 2024: Shri Sonmani Bora, the Principal Secretary overseeing the Tribal, Scheduled Caste, and Other Backward Class and Minority Development Department, conducted a thorough inspection of the Prayas Residential School situated in Saddu earlier today. Engaging with students preparing for competitive exams such as JEE and IIT, Shri Bora emphasized the historical tale of Eklavya achieving greatness even without a formal mentor. Stressing the significance of education as a priority, he articulated that genuine success encompasses both personal advancement and active engagement within society. He underscored the responsibility of fulfilling parents’ aspirations for their children while also addressing the needs of marginalized communities.

During his visit, Shri Bora directed officials to elevate the standards of facilities, akin to five-star hotels, for students hailing from tribal, scheduled caste, and economically disadvantaged backgrounds. He meticulously examined the infrastructure of Prayas Vidyalaya Hostel, advocating for enhancements in food provisions and academic resources, aligning the institution’s development trajectory with that of Navodaya Vidyalaya. Furthermore, he scrutinized the ongoing construction of the 750-seater Eklavya Bhavan, emphasizing the imperative of quality craftsmanship within the stipulated timeframe. Expressing dissatisfaction with the sluggish pace of progress, Shri Bora urged for expedited efforts while ensuring meticulous attention to construction standards.

In attendance were prominent figures including Mr. Trideep Chakraborty, the EE of Tribal Welfare Department, Mr. Prakash Anant, Assistant Engineer, Mrs. Manjula Tiwari, Administrative Officer of Prayas Vidyalaya, Mrs. Pramila Shukla, Principal, Mr. Rajesh Bode from Matrix organization, alongside other officials and staff members.

As Shri Sonmani Bora continues to advocate for inclusive educational reforms, his recent inspection underscores the government’s commitment to fostering holistic development and equitable opportunities for all students.
