TFP Bureau, Raipur, June 22, 2024: Additional Chief Secretary of Public Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education Department, Mr. Manoj Kumar Pingua, alongside Director of Health Services Mr. Rituraj Raghuvanshi and their team, conducted surprise inspections of health centers, drug warehouses, and villages in Mahasamund district on Friday. They issued necessary instructions to ensure optimal health facilities for patients.
Mr. Pingua emphasized the importance of providing the best possible health facilities and maintaining a consistent supply of medicines, while also ensuring patient convenience.
The team first inspected the CGMSC Drug Warehouse, gathering information about medicine maintenance and availability. They directed the display of signage boards, organization of medicines, cleanliness, and the prioritization of distributing near-expiry medicines, with notifications to the state office if they are not distributed.
In Kohri village, Mr. Pingua met with Mitanin Smt. Domeshwari Chakravati and instructed the display of her mobile number on her nameplate. He inspected her medicine box and discussed village population, health check-ups, sickle cell tests, and other health concerns.
At the Primary Health Center in Jhalpa Block, Mahasamund, Mr. Pingua reviewed online OPD slips, lab tests, medicine availability, anti-snake venom, institutional deliveries, and IPD services. He also checked on eye check-ups and free spectacles distribution in schools, and instructed 100% Ayushman claims against IPD. Additionally, he assessed last year’s Ayushman claim amounts and efforts to increase them this year.
At Ayushman Arogya Mandir (Sub Health Center) Teka V.K. Pithora, Mr. Pingua evaluated health facilities, available medicines, and services for pregnant women, ensuring the high-risk women’s list was displayed and regularly followed up.
Mr. Pingua directed the preparation of Primary Health Center Jhalpa and Sub Health Center Teka for NQAS certification. During the Community Health Center Basna inspection, he examined the X-ray room, OPD, IPD rooms, and lab, and instructed the CMHO Mahasamund to propose a nutrition rehabilitation center and initiate cesarean delivery services.
At Community Health Center Saraipali, Mr. Pingua reviewed the online prescription system, medicine distribution, lab report entries, X-ray room, and store room. He gathered feedback from patients and staff on the quality of health facilities and food provided. He instructed the submission of proposals for an anesthesiologist and necessary facilities to start cesarean deliveries at Saraipali.
Deputy Director Health Services, CMHO Mahasamund, DPM Mahasamund, and state-level officers accompanied Mr. Pingua during the inspections.
