{"id":1046,"date":"2025-04-17T11:40:09","date_gmt":"2025-04-17T11:40:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thefrontpage24.com\/?p=1046"},"modified":"2025-04-17T11:40:09","modified_gmt":"2025-04-17T11:40:09","slug":"chhattisgarh-cabinet-approves-key-youth-trade-and-industrial-initiatives","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefrontpage24.com\/?p=1046","title":{"rendered":"Chhattisgarh Cabinet Approves Key Youth, Trade, and Industrial Initiatives"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"\" data-start=\"208\" data-end=\"539\"><strong data-start=\"208\" data-end=\"235\">TFP Bureau, Raipur, April 17, 2025:<\/strong> In a significant policy push aimed at youth empowerment, trade facilitation, and industrial development, the Chhattisgarh Council of Ministers, under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, approved several major decisions during a cabinet meeting held at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan today.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"541\" data-end=\"1035\">One of the headline decisions includes a <strong data-start=\"582\" data-end=\"612\">refund of examination fees<\/strong> to local candidates of Chhattisgarh who appear in recruitment examinations or interviews conducted by the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission, Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board, and Special Junior Staff Selection Boards of Surguja, Bastar, and Bilaspur. This move is expected to encourage more serious candidates to participate while reducing the burden of non-serious applications and saving state resources.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1037\" data-end=\"1069\"><strong data-start=\"1037\" data-end=\"1069\">VAT Waiver for Small Traders<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1071\" data-end=\"1467\">In a relief measure for small businesses, the cabinet also approved an amendment to the <em data-start=\"1159\" data-end=\"1237\">Chhattisgarh Outstanding Tax, Interest and Penalty Settlement Ordinance-2025<\/em>. The decision allows for <strong data-start=\"1263\" data-end=\"1316\">waiver of pending VAT liabilities up to Rs 25,000<\/strong> in cases older than 10 years. This will benefit over <strong data-start=\"1370\" data-end=\"1394\">40,000 small traders<\/strong> and is expected to reduce more than <strong data-start=\"1431\" data-end=\"1466\">62,000 pending litigation cases<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1469\" data-end=\"1506\"><strong data-start=\"1469\" data-end=\"1506\">NIFT Campus Coming to Nava Raipur<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1508\" data-end=\"2001\">In a major boost to higher education and skill development in the fashion sector, the cabinet approved the establishment of a <strong data-start=\"1634\" data-end=\"1707\">National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) campus in Nava Raipur<\/strong>. With a projected investment of Rs 271.18 crore\u2014including Rs 21.18 crore for land, Rs 200 crore for infrastructure, and Rs 50 crore for equipment\u2014the project aims to open new avenues for youth in the field of fashion education and support the growing textile and apparel industry in the state.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2003\" data-end=\"2064\"><strong data-start=\"2003\" data-end=\"2064\">Support for Green Energy and Agriculture Waste Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2066\" data-end=\"2390\">Further, the cabinet authorized the <strong data-start=\"2102\" data-end=\"2192\">allotment of government land at concessional lease rates for setting up bio-CNG plants<\/strong> that will process organic and agricultural waste within urban bodies. The Urban Administration Department and concerned municipal corporations have been given charge to proceed with implementation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2392\" data-end=\"2440\"><strong data-start=\"2392\" data-end=\"2440\">Sugar Procurement from Cooperative Factories<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2442\" data-end=\"2727\">In a bid to support cooperative sugar factories and ensure quality supply under the Public Distribution System (PDS), the cabinet approved the <strong data-start=\"2585\" data-end=\"2653\">purchase of sugar at Rs 37,000 per tonne (ex-factory, GST extra)<\/strong> from cooperative units in the state for the April 2025\u2013March 2026 period.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2729\" data-end=\"2768\"><strong data-start=\"2729\" data-end=\"2768\">Heavy Equipment Manufacturing Boost<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2770\" data-end=\"3153\">In a move to bolster local employment and promote industrialization, the cabinet gave in-principle approval to <strong data-start=\"2881\" data-end=\"2919\">Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML)<\/strong> for setting up a <strong data-start=\"2937\" data-end=\"2989\">Heavy Earth Moving Equipment Manufacturing Plant<\/strong> in Chhattisgarh.
