TFP Bureau, Korba, April 20,2025:<\/strong> Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO), a subsidiary of Vedanta Aluminium, has successfully concluded the fourth edition of its annual Wish Tree Campaign<\/em>, an initiative that continues to bring smiles to children from underprivileged communities. The campaign, centred on fulfilling the simple dreams of young children, saw active participation from over 300 BALCO employees this year.<\/p>\n

More than 500 heartfelt wishes were gathered from children aged 3 to 10 across 25 remote villages. Their requests ranged from basic items like pencil boxes, clothes, school bags, to shoes\u2014modest needs that often go unmet. Each wish was personally chosen and fulfilled by BALCO volunteers, many of whom described the experience as deeply emotional and rewarding.<\/p>\n

BALCO CEO and Director Rajesh Kumar said, \u201cThe Wish Tree Campaign is a reflection of our belief that small acts of kindness can leave a profound impact. By fulfilling the innocent wishes of children, our employees are not only spreading joy but also building a culture of empathy and social responsibility.\u201d<\/p>\n

Local leaders, too, praised the initiative. Bahoran Singh Manjhwar, Sarpanch of Makhurpani, said, \u201cMost of these children come from families struggling to meet basic needs. BALCO\u2019s effort to directly ask and fulfil their wishes shows true community spirit.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fiza, one of the employee volunteers, echoed the sentiment: \u201cSeeing the joy on a child\u2019s face when they received their gift was unforgettable. The campaign is a reminder of how a small gesture can make a big difference.\u201d<\/p>\n

Beyond the Wish Tree Campaign, BALCO remains committed to holistic community development, impacting over 2.03 lakh people across 123 villages through initiatives in education, healthcare, women\u2019s empowerment, and sustainable livelihoods.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
