These e-buses are being introduced under the Central Government\u2019s ambitious <strong data-start=\"503\" data-end=\"539\">Pradhan Mantri E-Bus Seva Yojana<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"542\" data-end=\"878\">To ensure smooth and efficient implementation of the service, a one-day technical training session was held in Naya Raipur\u2019s Vishram Bhavan for officials from the Urban Administration Department and the State Urban Development Agency (SUDA). The training focused on technical readiness, operational frameworks, and capacity development.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"880\" data-end=\"1229\">The initiative, led by Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration Minister <strong data-start=\"959\" data-end=\"976\">Shri Arun Saw<\/strong>, aims to provide Chhattisgarh citizens with a cost-effective and pollution-free mode of transport. Addressing officials, Shri Saw emphasized timely and efficient deployment of the buses and directed departments to ensure smooth execution of the scheme.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1231\" data-end=\"1455\">During the workshop, experts from the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs shared key technical inputs on e-bus operations, including depot infrastructure, payment systems, tender processes, and monitoring mechanisms.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1457\" data-end=\"1850\"><strong data-start=\"1457\" data-end=\"1485\">SUDA CEO Shashank Pandey<\/strong> highlighted that the initiative marks a significant milestone for urban transport in Chhattisgarh. \u201cA total of 240 e-buses will be deployed \u2014 100 in Raipur, 50 each in Durg-Bhilai and Bilaspur, and 40 in Korba. Additionally, Rs 67.40 crore has been sanctioned for civil and electrical infrastructure, including depot construction and charging facilities,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1852\" data-end=\"1897\">City-wise infrastructure allocation includes:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1898\" data-end=\"2025\">\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1898\" data-end=\"1928\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1900\" data-end=\"1928\"><strong data-start=\"1900\" data-end=\"1910\">Raipur<\/strong>: Rs 27.23 crore<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1929\" data-end=\"1964\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1931\" data-end=\"1964\"><strong data-start=\"1931\" data-end=\"1946\">Durg-Bhilai<\/strong>: Rs 17.75 crore<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1965\" data-end=\"1997\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1967\" data-end=\"1997\"><strong data-start=\"1967\" data-end=\"1979\">Bilaspur<\/strong>: Rs 11.45 crore<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1998\" data-end=\"2025\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2000\" data-end=\"2025\"><strong data-start=\"2000\" data-end=\"2009\">Korba<\/strong>: Rs 10.97 crore<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2027\" data-end=\"2387\"><strong data-start=\"2027\" data-end=\"2048\">Shri Ram Paunikar<\/strong>, Deputy Team Leader at the Urban Transport Institute, underscored the critical role of e-buses in reducing vehicular emissions \u2014 a major contributor to urban air pollution. Experts from <strong data-start=\"2235\" data-end=\"2248\">WRI India<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2250\" data-end=\"2257\">IUT<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"2263\" data-end=\"2271\">CESL<\/strong>shared insights on integrated tenders, service contracts, payment models, and performance-based monitoring systems.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2389\" data-end=\"2707\">The session saw active participation from senior officials including Additional CEO of SUDA <strong data-start=\"2481\" data-end=\"2511\">Shri Dushyant Kumar Raisth<\/strong>, and engineers and municipal officers from the four project cities.
