TFP Bureau, Raipur, April 28, 2025:\u00a0In a major push towards modernization and transparency, Commercial Tax (Registration) Minister OP Choudhary on Monday conducted a comprehensive review of the Registration Department\u2019s activities at Mahanadi Bhawan, Atal Nagar. During the meeting with the Inspector General of Registration, Pushpendra Meena, and district-level officers, the Minister launched ten new digital reforms aimed at strengthening public services and safeguarding property transactions.<\/p>\n
Minister Choudhary reviewed the progress made over the past year, covering district-wise reforms, registration volumes, revenue collections, vigilance activities, court cases, and data digitization. Acknowledging field-level challenges, he invited suggestions from officers to make technical services more user-friendly and directed the installation of flex boards and banners at registration offices to inform citizens about new facilities.<\/p>\n
Rs 2,979 Crore Revenue Collected in FY 2024-25<\/strong><\/p>\n The Registration Department recorded a revenue collection of \u20b92,979 crore for the financial year 2024-25, an 18.86% rise compared to the previous year. Raipur, Durg, and Bilaspur topped the list in document registration and revenue generation. Praising the officers and employees for this achievement, Minister Choudhary emphasized the need for continued sensitivity, transparency, and efficiency in departmental operations.<\/p>\n Strengthening Technical Infrastructure<\/strong><\/p>\n Highlighting new administrative changes, Minister Choudhary informed that additional posts have been created to enhance document verification and streamline registration processes. He also instructed speedy implementation of Aadhaar-based authentication, DigiLocker integration, faceless registry services, and online document verification to make registrations faster, safer, and more accessible to citizens.<\/p>\n Ten New Digital Facilities Rolled Out<\/strong><\/p>\n Under Minister Choudhary\u2019s leadership, the department has introduced ten revolutionary services for public convenience:<\/p>\n Aadhaar-based Authentication:<\/strong> Biometric verification to prevent fraud during registration.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Online Search and Download:<\/strong> View and download previous registries linked to Khasra numbers.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Free Encumbrance Certificates:<\/strong> Instant online access to information about mortgages or claims on property.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Integrated Cashless Payment:<\/strong> Combined payment facility for stamp duty and registration fees.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n WhatsApp Updates:<\/strong> Real-time registration notifications sent directly to citizens’ phones.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n DigiLocker Access:<\/strong> Secure digital storage of registered documents.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Auto Deed Generation:<\/strong> Automated online document drafting and submission.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Digital Document Services:<\/strong> Online generation of affidavits, contracts, and other non-registered documents.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Home Registration Facility:<\/strong> Deed creation, interviews, and registrations from home, with special concessions like \u20b9500 fee for family donations and renunciations.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Automatic Land Transfer:<\/strong> Immediate updating of revenue records post-registration, reducing time, effort, and eliminating middlemen.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Minister Choudhary stressed that these initiatives would significantly enhance citizen convenience while improving transparency and departmental efficiency.
