TFP Bureau, New Delhi, May 24, 2025: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today presented a visionary roadmap to transform the state into a Rs 75 lakh crore economy by 2047 at the 10th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Chief Minister spotlighted Bastar\u2019s remarkable turnaround from a Naxal-affected region to a national model of development and self-reliance.<\/p>\n

Underlining the state\u2019s commitment to the Prime Minister\u2019s goal of a \u201cDeveloped India,\u201d CM Sai introduced the 3T Model\u2014Technology, Transparency, and Transformation\u2014as the foundation for Chhattisgarh\u2019s growth. He highlighted plans to increase the state\u2019s per capita income tenfold and double its Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) within five years.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister shared details of the comprehensive \u2018Chhattisgarh Anjor Vision Document,\u2019 which integrates economic, social, and environmental priorities. He emphasized the government\u2019s transition to a tech-enabled and transparent administration, with digital tracking ensuring efficient delivery of public services.<\/p>\n

Focusing on Bastar, CM Sai noted significant investment inflows and skill development initiatives across 32 blocks, preparing local youth for diverse sectors including IT, healthcare, and food processing. \u201cChildren who once collected firewood are now operating machines and laptops,\u201d he remarked, highlighting the social transformation.<\/p>\n

The region is also set to benefit from the establishment of the country\u2019s first semiconductor unit and an AI data centre in Nava Raipur, creating new employment opportunities and positioning Bastar as a hub for \u2018Make in India\u2019.<\/p>\n

Addressing security concerns, the Chief Minister reaffirmed the government\u2019s resolve to make Chhattisgarh Naxal-free by March 2026, supported by rehabilitation and skill training for surrendered militants. Tribal communities in Bastar are gaining greater access to markets and entrepreneurship opportunities, with Dhudmaras village receiving international acclaim as a \u201cBest Tourism Village\u201d by the UN.<\/p>\n

In infrastructure, Chhattisgarh is doubling its railway network to 2,200 km and has invested over Rs 21,000 crore in national highways. The introduction of cargo services at Raipur Airport strengthens the state\u2019s logistics potential.<\/p>\n

Highlighting Chhattisgarh\u2019s rich mineral resources, CM Sai shared plans to boost steel production from 28 to 45 million tonnes by 2030 and increase power generation capacity, aiming for national leadership. Notably, Chhattisgarh became the first state to auction a lithium block, crucial for green energy and electric vehicles.<\/p>\n

Over 350 policy reforms have been enacted, including digitized land registrations and incentives for rural education and healthcare facilities under the new Industrial Policy.<\/p>\n

The NITI Aayog meeting, held at Bharat Mandapam with the theme \u201cViksit Rajya, Viksit Bharat @2047,\u201d was attended by Union Ministers, Chief Ministers, Lieutenant Governors, and NITI Aayog officials.<\/p>\n
