TFP Bureau, Korba, June 13, 2025: In a unique employee engagement initiative, Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO), a unit of Vedanta Aluminium and India\u2019s pioneering aluminium producer, organized a four-day family visit program at its state-of-the-art plant in Balconagar. The initiative offered employees\u2019 families a firsthand glimpse into the intricate process of aluminium production, fostering a stronger emotional connection and deeper appreciation for the work undertaken by BALCO\u2019s workforce.<\/p>\n
The program included guided tours across key units of the plant, beginning with a detailed safety briefing at the Centralized Security Operation Centre. Families were then taken through the potlines where alumina is smelted into molten aluminium, and introduced to the production of carbon anodes\u2014an essential component of the process. The visit also covered the company\u2019s 1200 MW power plant that energizes the facility, culminating in the cast house where molten aluminium is shaped into ingots, rods, and other industrial products.<\/p>\n
