TFP Bureau, Raipur, June 30, 2025: The Chhattisgarh government today approved the ambitious Logistics Policy 2025 during a Council of Ministers meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai at Mahanadi Bhawan Secretariat. The new policy aims to attract significant private investment in the logistics sector by offering generous financial incentives, including grants up to Rs 140 crore.<\/p>\n
Under the policy, private investors developing infrastructure such as logistics hubs, dry ports, inland container depots, air cargo terminals, and Gati-Shakti cargo terminals will receive subsidies covering up to 40 percent of the project cost, capped at Rs 140 crore. Additional concessions include a 50 percent grant for external infrastructure development and a 35 percent grant for transport hubs or freight stations, with a maximum limit of Rs 5 crore.<\/p>\n
Leveraging its strategic central location, Chhattisgarh plans to position itself as a major logistics hub in India, enhancing storage facilities and reducing logistics costs for industries, traders, and farmers. The policy also seeks to expand the state’s export capabilities by facilitating the establishment of dry ports, container depots, and air cargo terminals, which will help local industries and producers access broader markets.<\/p>\n
Further incentives include capital investment grants ranging from 35 to 45 percent, interest subsidies between 50 and 60 percent, exemptions on electricity duty and stamp duty for warehouse and cold storage projects, and grants up to Rs 25 lakh per acre for logistics parks. The policy also offers special assistance in regions like Bastar and Surguja, with a 10 percent additional incentive, and an extra 5 percent grant for adopting green logistics practices. Investors committing over Rs 500 crore or generating employment for more than 1,000 people will be eligible for special incentives.<\/p>\n
This independent Logistics Policy marks a significant step beyond the previous industrial policy, reflecting Chhattisgarh\u2019s rise as a leading state for logistics, trade, and exports in India.
