Since 2024, a total of 1.08 lakh vacancies have been announced, with another 50,000 appointments planned for FY 2026\u201327.<\/p>\n<p>The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have conducted Computer Based Tests (CBTs) for over 1.86 crore candidates across seven recruitment notifications covering 55,197 vacancies since November 2024. These large-scale tests have laid the groundwork for the extensive appointment drive in the current and upcoming fiscal years.<\/p>\n<p>The recruitment process, involving complex logistics and coordination, is being continually improved to enhance transparency and convenience. One of the key changes is the prioritization of assigning examination centers closer to candidates&#8217; homes, especially benefitting women and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).<\/p>\n<p>To further ensure fairness and eliminate malpractices, Aadhaar-based e-KYC authentication has been introduced for the first time in such large-scale recruitment, with a success rate exceeding 95%. In addition, 100% deployment of electronic signal jammers at all exam centers has been implemented to prevent cheating through electronic devices.<\/p>\n<p>So far, twelve notifications have been issued for 1,08,324 vacancies since 2024 as per the RRB\u2019s recruitment calendar. This unprecedented hiring momentum reflects the Indian Railways\u2019 commitment to strengthening its workforce while maintaining integrity and efficiency in the recruitment process.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Over 1.08 lakh vacancies announced since 2024;
