TFP Bureau, Raipur, July 23, 2025: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has reiterated the government\u2019s unwavering commitment to ensuring a nourished, secure, and bright future for every child in the state. Chairing a high-level review meeting at Mahanadi Bhavan, the CM stressed the importance of coordinated efforts between the Women and Child Development (WCD) and Health Departments to achieve holistic child development.<\/p>\n
He announced that all women- and child-centric schemes will undergo detailed assessment in the upcoming Collector Conference and directed district collectors to conduct regular reviews of WCD programmes.<\/p>\n
\u201cChildren are the foundation of our nation\u2019s future. Their physical and mental development must be nurtured with care, sensitivity, and responsibility,\u201d CM Sai said, urging grassroots-level staff to work proactively so that every child benefits from supplementary nutrition and other entitlements.<\/p>\n
During the meeting, the CM conducted an in-depth review of departmental infrastructure, budgets, and the progress of various ongoing schemes. Special focus was laid on nutrition distribution through Anganwadi centres\u2014covering quality, quantity, caloric standards, and hot cooked meals. He directed continuous monitoring to ensure effective delivery.<\/p>\n
CM Sai paid particular attention to the 197 Anganwadi centres functioning under the PM-JANMAN scheme for Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs), directing officials to carry out their duties with heightened sensitivity.<\/p>\n
He also reviewed key nutritional indicators and instructed officers to act swiftly wherever gaps were identified. Applauding the progress under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, he urged officials to maintain momentum and continue improving outcomes.<\/p>\n
Highlighting the psychological well-being of children, the CM said that even small gestures by Anganwadi workers could have a lasting emotional impact. He stressed the need for regular training to enhance the technical capacity of staff and to adopt a research-driven and outcome-oriented approach in programme implementation.<\/p>\n
Schemes reviewed during the meeting included the Child Marriage-Free Chhattisgarh Campaign<\/em>, Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana<\/em>, Sakhi One Stop Centre<\/em>, Shakti Sadan<\/em>, Women and Child Helpline<\/em>, Mahila Kosh<\/em>, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao<\/em>, and Mission Vatsalya<\/em>.<\/p>\n Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade, Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to the CM Shri Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretaries Shri P. Dayanand and Shri Rahul Bhagat, WCD Secretary Smt. Shammi Abidi, Director Shri P.S.
