<\/p>\nTFP Bureau, Raipur, August 1, 2025: The Chhattisgarh government\u2019s landmark Naxalite Surrender, Victim Relief and Rehabilitation Policy 2025 has begun to yield tangible results, with the first concrete house completed for a Naxal-affected family in Sukma district. The house was constructed under a special allotment of 15,000 homes approved by the Centre through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) on the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai.<\/p>\n
Mrs. Sodi Hungi, a resident of village Oiras in Gram Panchayat Gadiras, whose husband Masa Sodi was brutally killed by Naxalites in 2005, has received a newly built concrete house after decades of hardship. Her family had been living in a vulnerable kutcha house with a leaking roof and frequent threats from wild insects during the rainy season.<\/p>\n
This house is the first in Chhattisgarh to be completed under the special PMAY initiative for Naxal-affected families and surrendered extremists. It stands as a symbol of the government\u2019s commitment to social justice and rehabilitation for victims of Left-Wing Extremism.<\/p>\n

In the financial year 2024\u201325, Mrs. Hungi was identified as an eligible beneficiary under the rural housing scheme. Following approval, Rs 1.35 lakh was sanctioned in three phases and deposited directly into her account. Thanks to efficient implementation, transparent fund disbursal, and technical guidance, construction was completed on 8 July 2025.<\/p>\n
Besides housing, Mrs. Hungi has also been granted benefits from other government schemes\u2014 including toilet construction under the Swachh Bharat Mission, 90 days of wage employment through MGNREGA, as well as access to a ration card, Ayushman card, and other social security services.<\/p>\n
Speaking with gratitude, her sons said, \u201cOur family is now living with dignity and safety. We are thankful to the Chief Minister, district administration, and Gram Panchayat for making this possible.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Under the leadership of CM Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and with support from the Central Government, the special project aims to construct 15,000 homes for Naxal-affected families and surrendered extremists.
