<\/p>\nTFP Bureau, Raipur, August 6, 2025: In a significant step towards transforming Chhattisgarh into a self-reliant technology and electronics manufacturing hub, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, has approved the establishment of a Common Facility Centre (CFC) in Naya Raipur. This facility will reduce the state\u2019s dependency on cities like Bengaluru, Pune, and Noida for electronics testing, prototyping, and validation.<\/p>\n
The CFC will be developed over 3.23 acres in Sector-22 of Naya Raipur Atal Nagar at a total cost of \u20b9108.43 crore. Of this, \u20b975 crore has been sanctioned by MeitY under the Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC) 2.0 scheme, while \u20b933.43 crore will be contributed by the Chhattisgarh government. The land is being provided by the Naya Raipur Atal Nagar Vikas Pradhikaran (NRANVP), which will also manage the project.<\/p>\n
This state-of-the-art centre is expected to become a critical platform for electronics startups, MSMEs, and manufacturers. It will house advanced facilities such as PCB prototyping, 3D printing, EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) testing, and a wood workshop. Specialized labs will cater to a range of sectors including semiconductors, LED lighting, solar charge controllers, EV components, automation solutions, and SCADA panel manufacturing.<\/p>\n

Highlighting the benefits, officials stated that a small LED manufacturing unit can use the CFC to test quality standards, while startups developing solar charge controllers or EV components can prototype and validate their designs before mass production. The 3D printing and PCB development labs will help reduce production time and enhance innovation.<\/p>\n
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai hailed the project as a historic move toward self-reliance in electronics manufacturing. \u201cThis facility will position Chhattisgarh as a new epicentre of innovation and high-tech production, offering world-class resources to our industries and youth,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Housing and Environment Minister OP Choudhary added that the CFC would play a pivotal role in empowering local talent. \u201cThis is a big leap for our digital economy. Startups and entrepreneurs in Chhattisgarh will no longer need to depend on other cities for technical testing or development,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The initiative is part of a broader effort by the state government to attract investments and boost employment in the electronics sector. Several incentives under the state\u2019s industrial policy are already in place, and the CFC is expected to further accelerate growth by providing a ready-to-use ecosystem for manufacturers.<\/p>\n
