<\/p>\nTFP Bureau, Raipur, August 16, 2025 \u2013 Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai flagged off the State Bank of India\u2019s Cyber Security Awareness Rath from his residence in Raipur today, launching a three-and-a-half-month-long statewide campaign to alert citizens about rising cyber frauds. The specially designed audio-video van will tour all 33 districts of Chhattisgarh until November 30, spreading awareness through street plays, puppet shows, and informative video messages.<\/p>\n
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that while technology has made life more convenient and digital transactions easier, the risk of cybercrime has grown significantly. \u201cWith a little vigilance and caution, people can protect themselves from cyber fraud. Even a moment\u2019s carelessness can result in heavy financial loss,\u201d he warned.<\/p>\n
Sai highlighted that cyber fraudsters are constantly inventing new methods to deceive people, and therefore, spreading public awareness is the most effective safeguard. He said the campaign will specifically focus on 29 hotspots across the state where cybercrime cases are reported more frequently.<\/p>\n
Appealing to citizens to remain alert, CM Sai advised: \u201cDo not share your bank details, ATM pins, OTPs or passwords with anyone. Never click on suspicious links. Our collective effort is to ensure that maximum people are informed and can protect their hard-earned money from fraudsters.\u201d<\/p>\n
The initiative is being led by SBI, described as \u201cthe banker to every Indian\u201d, in response to the increasing cases of unauthorized transactions and online financial fraud. The Rath will feature live performances by Nacha teams and theatre groups, ensuring that the message reaches both rural and urban audiences in a relatable manner.<\/p>\n
SBI officials informed that complaints regarding online fraud can be reported immediately by dialing the national helpline number 1930. Deputy General Manager Rakesh Sinha and Assistant General Manager Deepak Kumar Sinha, along with other senior officials, were present during the launch ceremony.<\/p>\n
