TFP Bureau, Raipur, August 19, 2025 \u2013 Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has issued strict instructions to collectors and divisional commissioners across Chhattisgarh to ensure speedy resolution of revenue-related cases, warning that repeated delays and unnecessary appearances before officials would no longer be tolerated. Chairing a statewide review meeting through video conferencing from Mahanadi Bhawan, the Chief Minister emphasized accountability in administration, the need for expediting infrastructure-related land acquisition, and preparations for the ongoing Silver Festival marking 25 years of Chhattisgarh\u2019s formation.<\/p>\n
During the meeting, CM Sai conducted a district-wise review of the progress of government schemes, taking detailed feedback on issues such as land transfers, undisputed and disputed partitions, record corrections, demarcations, diversions, and land acquisition. He underlined that public inconvenience caused by delays in hearings damages trust in governance and instructed that all cases must be resolved within the timelines prescribed by the government.<\/p>\n
The Chief Minister observed that repeated appearances before revenue offices not only waste the time and labor of citizens but also impose unnecessary financial burdens on them. He directed officials to reduce the number of appearances required and to ensure fair and timely delivery of justice in revenue matters.<\/p>\n
Chief Secretary Subodh Kumar Singh instructed that all revenue cases be compulsorily registered in e-courts, enabling better monitoring and tracking. He also announced that special campaigns will be conducted through Patwaris at the tehsil level to correct errors in land records.<\/p>\n
Focusing on key infrastructure, CM Sai emphasized that speedy land acquisition is crucial for projects under the National Highways and Bharatmala schemes. He directed collectors to fast-track land acquisition and compensation distribution to avoid delays. In Bastar division, priority was given to land acquisition and compensation for critical projects, including roads, railways, and mobile tower installations in Narayanpur, Dantewada, Sukma, and Bijapur, where development must progress alongside security considerations.<\/p>\n
The Chief Minister also directed officials to expedite the registration of eligible farmers and stressed the timely completion of the digital crop survey. He stated that strengthening farmer databases will enable better planning and delivery of agricultural benefits.<\/p>\n
Turning to preparations for the Silver Festival, CM Sai said the celebrations, which began on August 15 and will continue for 25 weeks, should showcase Chhattisgarh\u2019s 25-year development journey as a people\u2019s festival. He asked all districts to upload program details on the state portal and intensify publicity. Further, he announced that the upcoming \u2018Seva Pakhwada,\u2019 to be held from September 17 to October 2, would be integrated into the Silver Festival. During this fortnight, public welfare activities such as health camps, blood donation drives, and revenue camps will be organized to strengthen community participation.<\/p>\n
The Chief Minister emphasized that transparency and accountability in governance are non-negotiable and warned that negligence in revenue matters would be closely monitored. \u201cThe state government\u2019s priority is justice delivered on time. Responsible governance can only be achieved when the public receives fair resolutions without delay,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
