TFP Bureau, Raipur, September 14, 2025: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Sunday inaugurated the Jashpur Tourism and Agriculture Revolution<\/em> at the Chief Minister\u2019s Camp Office in Bagiya, declaring that Jashpur is steadily gaining recognition as a confluence of nature, culture, and modern development. The initiative aims to empower self-help groups and farmers through eco-tourism, homestay models, and agri-based ventures, providing direct benefits to local communities.<\/p>\n

The programme was attended by former Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda, Pathalgaon MLA and Vice President of Surguja Tribal Development Authority Gomti Sai, Jashpur MLA Raimuni Bhagat, District Panchayat President Salik Sai, senior officials, and a large gathering of citizens.<\/p>\n

Jashpur Jamboree: Festival of Nature and Culture<\/h5>\n

Highlighting the success of the Jashpur Jamboree 2024<\/em>, the Chief Minister said the event not only showcased eco-tourism and adventure sports but also brought tribal traditions, cuisine, and cultural performances to the forefront. \u201cThe Jashpur Jamboree weaves nature, culture, and development into one thread. It is not merely entertainment but a means of economic empowerment,\u201d Sai remarked.<\/p>\n

The second edition of Jashpur Jamboree<\/em> will be held from November 6 to 9, 2025<\/strong>, featuring rock climbing, rappelling, trekking, water sports at Mayali Dam, and aerial experiences like paramotoring and hot-air balloon rides. Visitors will also witness traditional Karma and Sarhul dances, handicraft workshops, folk dramas, and exhibitions of tattoo art, woodcraft, and iron craft. A cultural food fair will bring alive the flavors of tribal cuisine.<\/p>\n

Boost to Tourism Infrastructure<\/h5>\n

Sai announced that under the Swadesh Darshan Yojana<\/em>, facilities such as boating, cactus gardens, and tent stays have been added to the Mayali Nature Camp. The natural Shivling at Madheshwar mountain has been included in the Golden Book of World Records, further boosting Jashpur\u2019s profile as a spiritual and cultural destination.<\/p>\n

\u201cChhattisgarh is treating tourism as an industry,\u201d the Chief Minister said. \u201cWith our new homestay policy, tourists can directly experience tribal traditions, lifestyle, and cuisine, while locals gain sustainable livelihoods.\u201d He added that GIS mapping, digital marketing, and global-standard training will be introduced to strengthen Jashpur\u2019s position on the tourism map.<\/p>\n

Towards Self-Reliance and Global Recognition<\/h5>\n

The Chief Minister honored self-help groups and young entrepreneurs working in Jashpur\u2019s tourism sector, underlining the government\u2019s focus on creating self-reliant communities. He emphasized that festivals like the Jashpur Jamboree will not only preserve cultural heritage but also bring global recognition to local arts and crafts.<\/p>\n

Deputy Collector Sameer Bada proposed a vote of thanks, while local representatives including Gomti Sai, Raimuni Bhagat, and Salik Sai shared updates on the district\u2019s progress in tourism and agriculture.<\/p>\n
