<\/p>\nTFP Bureau,Raipur, September 25, 2025 \u2013 Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today emphasized the vital role of State Administrative Service (SAS) officers in governance and public welfare, describing them as the backbone of the state\u2019s administrative system. He was addressing a group of trainee officers who paid a courtesy visit at his official residence in Raipur. The delegation included 13 officers from the 2024 batch and one officer from the 2021 batch.<\/p>\n
During an interactive session, the Chief Minister underlined that SAS officers are not only responsible for implementing government policies but also serve as a direct bridge between the administration and the people. He noted that their decisions and timely actions often determine how effectively citizens\u2019 problems are resolved. \u201cIt is your privilege to be selected to serve the people of Chhattisgarh. This responsibility is not given to everyone. You must discharge it with honesty, dedication, and a deep sense of social responsibility,\u201d he told the officers.<\/p>\n
Chief Minister Sai highlighted that the role of administrative officers goes beyond paperwork and official duties. As enlightened citizens, they must also be socially conscious and work towards building a more equitable society. He encouraged the trainees to remain approachable to the public, listen with patience, and make fairness and transparency the guiding principles of their work.<\/p>\n
The officers informed the Chief Minister about their training experiences. Director of the Chhattisgarh Administrative Academy, T.C. Mahawar, explained that the induction course for the 2024 batch began on April 7, 2025, and is now nearing completion. Following this, the officers will assume responsibilities as Deputy Collectors in various districts, where they will gain practical experience in revenue management, law and order, and implementation of development programs.<\/p>\n
Chief Minister Sai also spoke about the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for the officers. Referring to the state\u2019s abundant mineral wealth, fertile soil, strong power sector, and rich forests, he said Chhattisgarh has immense potential for rapid growth. He added that the only major hurdle to development has been Naxalism, which, according to him, is now in its final phase. \u201cUnder the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, we are committed to eliminating the Naxal menace completely by March 2026. Once that goal is achieved, Chhattisgarh\u2019s pace of development will accelerate, and as SAS officers, you will carry a greater responsibility, particularly in tribal-dominated areas,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He further pointed out that transparency in administration remains a top priority for the government. Chhattisgarh has become the first state in India to set up a Department of Good Governance and Convergence, while the e-office system is streamlining government processes. Simplification of revenue procedures through digital platforms is also helping reduce delays and corruption. He urged the officers to ensure that revenue-related matters, which directly affect people\u2019s lives, are resolved quickly and fairly. \u201cSometimes even a small initiative by an officer can bring immense relief to the people. That is why you must be proactive,\u201d the Chief Minister stressed.<\/p>\n
Touching upon the state\u2019s new industrial policy, the Chief Minister shared that Chhattisgarh has so far received investment proposals worth \u20b97.5 lakh crore. He said these investments will create new opportunities for employment, trade, and entrepreneurship, and SAS officers will play a crucial role in ensuring their smooth implementation at the ground level.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister also reiterated his government\u2019s commitment to women\u2019s empowerment, rural development, and inclusive growth. He urged the young officers to be mindful of the needs of marginalized communities, particularly tribal groups, and ensure that development schemes reach every household. \u201cYour role is not just administrative but transformational. You will shape the future of this state by ensuring justice, efficiency, and compassion in governance,\u201d he told them.<\/p>\n
The meeting was also attended by Joint Director of the Chhattisgarh Academy of Administration, Pranav Singh, along with the trainee officers, who expressed gratitude for the Chief Minister\u2019s guidance.
