TFP Bureau, Raipur, September 26, 2025:\u00a0Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today unveiled the poster and official website of \u201cMake-in-Silicon: National Symposium on Enabling Indigenous Semiconductor Infrastructure\u201d<\/em> at his residence office in Raipur. The initiative, he said, marks a decisive step towards strengthening India\u2019s indigenous semiconductor capabilities and positioning Chhattisgarh as a vital contributor to the country\u2019s technological self-reliance.<\/p>\n

The two-day national symposium will be organized at IIT-Naya Raipur on November 7\u20138, 2025<\/strong>, bringing together leading experts, industry leaders, policymakers, and academics from across India. Prof. Om Prakash Vyas, Director of IIT-Naya Raipur, informed the Chief Minister that the symposium will focus on developing a clear roadmap to boost the country\u2019s semiconductor ecosystem and advance the National Semiconductor Mission.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Sai emphasized that Chhattisgarh will actively contribute to the mission through its youth, industries, and educational institutions. He described indigenous semiconductor infrastructure as the \u201cbedrock of India\u2019s digital and economic strength\u201d and underlined that the initiative is aligned with the Union Government\u2019s Semiconductor India Mission<\/em> as well as Chhattisgarh\u2019s vision of technological empowerment.<\/p>\n

\u201cBuilding a strong semiconductor ecosystem is essential to prepare our youth for global competition,\u201d the Chief Minister said. He called for collaboration between universities, research institutions, and industry players to ensure that India does not remain dependent on imports in this critical sector.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister also highlighted that the symposium will serve as a platform to frame strategies for nurturing talent, fostering innovation, and accelerating India\u2019s entry into the global semiconductor value chain.<\/p>\n
