TFP Bureau, New Delhi, September 26, 2025: Coal Public Sector Undertakings under the Ministry of Coal have announced a Performance Linked Reward (PLR) of \u20b91,03,000 for their non-executive workers, a move that is set to benefit over 2.5 lakh employees across the country. The decision, finalized at the sixth meeting of the Standardization Committee of the Joint Bipartite Committee for the Coal Industry (JBCCI) held on September 25, underscores the government\u2019s commitment to worker welfare and recognition of the frontline workforce.<\/p>\n
The PLR will cover around 2.1 lakh non-executive employees of Coal India Limited (CIL) and its subsidiaries, as well as nearly 38,000 employees of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL). The payout, which will be credited on a pro-rata basis linked to employee attendance, carries a massive financial implication of \u20b92,153.82 crore for CIL and an additional \u20b9380 crore for SCCL, pushing the combined outlay to over \u20b92,500 crore.<\/p>\n
