TFP Bureau, Raipur, September 27, 2025: In a major step toward improving urban governance and citizen convenience, the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has approved a grant of \u20b950 crore for the establishment of Adarsh Suvidha Kendras<\/em> in Chhattisgarh\u2019s urban bodies. The initiative, taken on the special request of Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration Minister Shri Arun Sao, will transform how essential services are delivered in cities and towns.<\/p>\n

In the first phase, Adarsh Suvidha Kendras will be set up in all 14 municipal corporations and 55 municipalities of the state. These centers will act as unified service hubs, enabling citizens to obtain birth, death, and marriage certificates, licenses for businesses, vending and advertising, property tax services, water and sewerage connections, solid waste management services, municipal property bookings, grievance redressal, and digital inclusion facilities\u2014all under one roof.<\/p>\n

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai expressed his gratitude to the Central Government for approving the state\u2019s proposal. \u201cThis initiative reflects our government\u2019s commitment to good governance and citizen-first service delivery. By establishing Model Suvidha Kendras, we aim to ensure transparent, timely, and accessible services for every citizen of Chhattisgarh. These centers will not only simplify processes but also strengthen urban administration, thereby improving the quality of life in our cities,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p>\n

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao emphasized that the project aligns with the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. \u201cOur government is determined to improve services in urban areas through well-planned strategies. The establishment of Citizen Experience Centers under the Municipal Shared Services Center (MSC) framework will serve as a single-window solution for all municipal services. This will remove bureaucratic hurdles, increase accountability, and make services more citizen-friendly. I thank Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Shri Manohar Lal for approving this proposal,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p>\n

According to officials, the Adarsh Suvidha Kendras<\/em> will operate on the principle of \u201cOne State \u2013 One Portal\u201d<\/em>, integrating existing platforms such as Nidan-1100<\/em>, Mor Sangwari<\/em>, Property Tax Portal<\/em>, and other citizen service systems into a unified digital framework. Each center will be connected to a state-level Command and Control Center established within the State Urban Development Agency (SUDA), ensuring real-time monitoring, timely resolution of applications, and improved service delivery.<\/p>\n

The system is designed to be both accessible and transparent. Citizens will be able to visit the centers, submit applications for required services, and receive approvals or documents within stipulated timelines. The process will be fully digitized, minimizing delays and enabling faster grievance redressal.<\/p>\n

Officials highlighted that the initiative is expected to bring significant improvements in the ease of living, foster inclusivity, and increase trust between citizens and urban administrations. By standardizing services across the state, the Adarsh Suvidha Kendras<\/em> will also strengthen accountability mechanisms and encourage participatory governance.<\/p>\n
