TFP Bureau, Raipur, October 14, 2025: Finance, Housing, and Environment Minister O.P. Choudhary on Tuesday chaired a high-level review meeting at the Naya Raipur Atal Nagar Vikas Pradhikaran (NRANVP) to assess the progress of ongoing investment projects, infrastructure development, and enhancement of urban facilities in Naya Raipur. The meeting focused on ensuring that the state\u2019s ambitious vision for a balanced, modern, and sustainable capital city is realized within stipulated timelines.<\/p>\n
Minister Choudhary emphasized that the holistic development of Naya Raipur \u2014 combining cutting-edge infrastructure, environmental conservation, and citizen-friendly amenities \u2014 remains a top priority of the Chhattisgarh government. He instructed officials to expedite ongoing works while maintaining strict quality standards. \u201cNaya Raipur is the face of a new Chhattisgarh \u2014 it must reflect progress, discipline, and inclusivity in every aspect of development,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Highlighting the state government\u2019s financial commitment to capital development, the Minister informed that a target of \u20b91,000 crore has been set for capital expenditure under the current fiscal year. He urged all departments and executing agencies to work in close coordination to meet this target and deliver visible outcomes on the ground. \u201cQuality must not be compromised under any circumstance,\u201d he added, stressing that efficient monitoring and timely completion are key to the city\u2019s long-term growth strategy.<\/p>\n
During the meeting, the Minister reviewed land allotments and construction progress by both government and private developers. He directed that all projects \u2014 whether public buildings, institutional spaces, or residential and commercial complexes \u2014 be completed on schedule to ensure that the city\u2019s infrastructure network develops cohesively. He also called for the removal of administrative bottlenecks and faster processing of investment proposals to attract more private participation.<\/p>\n
Detailed discussions were held on investment promotion, environmental safeguards, and upgradation of civic amenities such as roads, public transport, water supply, and green spaces. The Minister instructed the Environment Department to ensure that developmental works in Naya Raipur adhere to sustainable urban planning standards. \u201cEvery structure and project here must set an example in eco-friendly construction and efficient urban design,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The meeting also reviewed progress under various flagship infrastructure projects, including new road networks, smart utility systems, and upcoming public service centers. Officials were asked to strengthen coordination among departments to avoid delays and to ensure that all public infrastructure remains future-ready, supporting the anticipated growth in population and economic activity.<\/p>\n
Authority Chairman Ankit Anand and Chief Executive Officer Chandan Kumar presented detailed reports on land utilization, construction progress, and ongoing development initiatives. They also briefed the Minister on investor interest in upcoming industrial and institutional zones.
