The route, named the <em>\u201cVishnu Deo Route\u201d<\/em> in honour of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, was established in just 12 hours using the self-reliant alpine style \u2014 one of the most demanding forms of climbing.<\/p>\n<p>The expedition, organized by the Jashpur District Administration in collaboration with <em>Pahadi Bakra Adventure<\/em>, was conducted in September 2025 with crucial support from the <em>Hira Group<\/em> and several national and international partners. What makes the achievement remarkable is that all five climbers were first-time Himalayan mountaineers trained locally at <em>Deshdekha Climbing Area<\/em> \u2014 India\u2019s first natural outdoor training zone for adventure sports, developed by the Jashpur Administration.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4271\" src=\"https:\/\/thefrontpage24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/72ceca9a-f431-479a-8dad-e89296f8af63.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"635\" height=\"490\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thefrontpage24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/72ceca9a-f431-479a-8dad-e89296f8af63.jpeg 635w, https:\/\/thefrontpage24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/72ceca9a-f431-479a-8dad-e89296f8af63-389x300.jpeg 389w, https:\/\/thefrontpage24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/72ceca9a-f431-479a-8dad-e89296f8af63-345x265.jpeg 345w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 635px) 100vw, 635px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Under the leadership of Bilaspur-based climber <em>Swapnil Rachelwar<\/em>, the team underwent intensive training designed by Indian and international experts, including <em>Dave Gates<\/em> (rock climbing coach, New York) and <em>Sagar Dubey<\/em> (Director, Runners XP). The program involved two months of conditioning and a 12-day pre-expedition climb to build physical endurance, technical proficiency, and mental resilience.<\/p>\n<p>Despite adverse weather, low visibility, and dangerous glacier crossings, the climbers \u2014 <em>Ravi Singh, Tejal Bhagat, Rusnath Bhagat, Sachin Kujur,<\/em> and <em>Prateek Nayak<\/em> \u2014 reached the summit without the use of fixed ropes or external support. Their accomplishment in pure alpine style has been hailed globally as a rare feat for first-time Himalayan climbers.<\/p>\n<p>Spanish mountaineer and former World Cup coach <em>Toti Vells<\/em>, part of the expedition\u2019s technical core team, praised the achievement, saying: \u201cThese young climbers had never even seen snow before, yet they opened a new route in the Himalayas. It showcases how programs like the <em>Deshdekha Climbing Sector<\/em> can nurture world-class talent, transforming rural India into a hub for adventure and eco-tourism.<\/p>\n<p>Administrative guidance for the project came from <em>Dr. Ravi Mittal (IAS), Rohit Vyas (IAS), Shashi Kumar (IFS),<\/em> and <em>Abhishek Kumar (IAS)<\/em>, while technical expertise was provided by international professionals <em>Ernest Venturini, Marta Pedro (Spain), Kelsey (USA),<\/em> and <em>Oyvind Y. Boe (Norway).<\/em> The expedition was documented by <em>Ishan Gupta\u2019s Coffee Media<\/em> team.<\/p>\n<p>Sponsors and institutional partners included <em>Petzl, Allied Safety Equipment, Red Panda Outdoors, Rekki Outdoors, Advenam Adventures, Jai Jungle Pvt.
