<\/p>\nTFP Bureau, Raipur, October 31, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Chhattisgarh on November 1 to take part in the state\u2019s silver jubilee celebrations, marking 25 years since its formation. During his visit, the Prime Minister will participate in the Chhattisgarh Rajat Mahotsav and inaugurate a series of major infrastructure, energy, industrial, and healthcare projects worth over \u20b914,260 crore, aimed at accelerating the state\u2019s growth and improving citizens\u2019 quality of life.<\/p>\n
The day-long visit will include several landmark inaugurations and foundation stone-laying ceremonies across multiple sectors. Beginning his schedule at 10 AM, the Prime Minister will participate in the \u2018Dil Ki Baat\u2019 programme at Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, where he will interact with 2,500 children who have successfully undergone treatment for congenital heart diseases under the \u2018Gift of Life\u2019 initiative. The event will celebrate the lives saved through free heart surgeries provided to underprivileged children.<\/p>\n
At around 10:45 AM, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate \u201cShanti Shikhar,\u201d a newly constructed modern spiritual learning and meditation centre of the Brahma Kumaris in Nava Raipur. The centre is envisioned as a hub for promoting peace, emotional well-being, and spiritual harmony through holistic practices and meditation programmes.<\/p>\n
Later, at around 11:45 AM, the Prime Minister will visit the new building of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly (Vidhansabha) in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, where he will unveil the statue of Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The newly built Assembly complex, designed on the Green Building concept, will operate on solar energy and feature a rainwater harvesting system, showcasing Chhattisgarh\u2019s commitment to sustainability. Following the inauguration, the Prime Minister will address the gathering of legislators, dignitaries, and citizens, highlighting the importance of democratic institutions in the state\u2019s development journey.<\/p>\n
At around 1:30 PM, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Memorial and Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum, a tribute to the state\u2019s valiant tribal heroes who fought for India\u2019s independence. The museum will house rare artifacts, manuscripts, and digital exhibits highlighting the valor and sacrifices of tribal warriors. During the event, the Prime Minister will launch the Museum Portal and e-book \u201cAadi Shourya,\u201d dedicated to India\u2019s unsung tribal freedom fighters, and unveil a grand horse-mounted statue of Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh.<\/p>\n
In the afternoon, at around 2:30 PM, the Prime Minister will take part in the Chhattisgarh Rajat Mahotsav \u2014 a momentous event celebrating 25 years of the state\u2019s formation. On this occasion, he will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for development projects valued at over \u20b914,260 crore spanning critical sectors including roads, industry, power, petroleum, healthcare, and rural housing.<\/p>\n
To empower rural livelihoods, the Prime Minister will inaugurate 12 new Start-Up Village Entrepreneurship Programme (SVEP) blocks across nine districts, aimed at encouraging self-employment and innovation at the grassroots level. Additionally, he will participate in the Griha Pravesh of 3.51 lakh houses constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) and release \u20b91,200 crore as the next installment for 3 lakh beneficiaries. These initiatives will provide dignified housing to millions and strengthen the government\u2019s mission of inclusive rural development.<\/p>\n
Improving road infrastructure remains a key focus of the visit. The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for a four-lane Greenfield Highway connecting Pathalgaon\u2013Kunkuri to the Chhattisgarh\u2013Jharkhand border under the Bharatmala Pariyojana. Developed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) at a cost of \u20b93,150 crore, the corridor will connect key coal mines, industrial hubs, and steel plants across Raigarh, Korba, and Jashpur, linking Central India to Jharkhand and Odisha. He will also lay the foundation stone for upgrading NH-130D (Narayanpur\u2013Kasturmeta\u2013Kutul\u2013Nilangur\u2013Maharashtra border) and inaugurate the newly upgraded NH-130C (Madangmuda\u2013Deobhog\u2013Odisha border), enhancing connectivity to remote tribal and forest regions.<\/p>\n
In the power sector, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the ER\u2013WR Interconnection Project that enhances inter-regional power transfer capacity between the Eastern and Western grids by 1,600 MW. The project will ensure grid stability and a reliable power supply across several states. He will also dedicate and lay the foundation stones for multiple energy sector projects worth over \u20b93,750 crore under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS). These projects include the construction of new substations and power lines, feeder bifurcation, installation of transformers, and network strengthening works. Nine new power substations, built at a cost of \u20b9480 crore, will be inaugurated, benefiting nearly 15 lakh people across Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg, Bemetara, and Bastar.<\/p>\n
Underlining Chhattisgarh\u2019s growing role in India\u2019s energy ecosystem, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate HPCL\u2019s state-of-the-art Petroleum Oil Depot in Raipur. Built at a cost of \u20b9460 crore, it has a storage capacity of 54,000 kilolitres for petrol, diesel, and ethanol, supporting the government\u2019s Ethanol Blending Programme and clean energy transition. He will also dedicate the 489 km Nagpur\u2013Jharsuguda Natural Gas Pipeline, built at a cost of \u20b91,950 crore, connecting 11 districts of Chhattisgarh to the National Gas Grid and promoting industrial growth with clean fuel accessibility.<\/p>\n
To boost industrial development and employment generation, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stones for two Smart Industrial Areas \u2014 one at Siladehi\u2013Gatwa\u2013Birra in Janjgir\u2013Champa district and another at Bijletala in Rajnandgaon district. He will also lay the foundation stone of a Pharmaceutical Park at Sector 22 in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, envisioned as a hub for pharmaceutical and healthcare manufacturing.<\/p>\n
In the healthcare sector, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stones for five new Government Medical Colleges at Manendragarh, Kabirdham, Janjgir\u2013Champa, and Geedam (Dantewada), as well as the Government Ayurveda College and Hospital at Bilaspur. These new institutions will enhance medical education and significantly improve access to modern and traditional healthcare in both urban and rural areas of the state.<\/p>\n
The Prime Minister\u2019s visit, coinciding with Chhattisgarh\u2019s 25th Foundation Day, is being seen as a major milestone in the state\u2019s journey toward self-reliance and progress.
