\nThe Chhattisgarh Pavilion emerged as one of the most visited attractions on Monday at the International Trade Fair underway at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai visited the pavilion and reviewed a wide range of exhibits, including traditional handicrafts, forest-produce-based products, and innovative rural enterprises that highlighted the state\u2019s cultural richness and entrepreneurial growth.<\/p>\n
During his visit, the Chief Minister interacted with artisans, entrepreneurs, and officials managing the stalls. He praised the creativity and quality of the products, describing the pavilion as a vibrant representation of Chhattisgarh\u2019s evolving economic landscape. He noted that the state is steadily strengthening its presence on national and global trade platforms through unique cultural offerings and forest-based value-added products.<\/p>\n
Shri Sai said that Chhattisgarh\u2019s rich heritage of craftsmanship\u2014including kosa silk, metal craft, dokra art, tribal woodwork, and natural forest products\u2014continues to gain popularity among buyers from across India and abroad. He said these growing market opportunities are boosting local livelihoods, generating employment, and empowering tribal and rural communities. \u201cThe rising demand for Chhattisgarhi products is not only strengthening our local economy but also promoting the vision of an Atmanirbhar Chhattisgarh,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
A key attraction at the pavilion was the integrated display of millet-based foods, herbal products, organic items, and micro-enterprise innovations driven by women\u2019s self-help groups and tribal cooperatives. The Chief Minister lauded these enterprises for successfully linking tradition with innovation and contributing to sustainable rural development.<\/p>\n
Shri Sai also appreciated the section dedicated to Bastar\u2019s cultural heritage, which featured traditional crafts, sculptures, and contemporary tribal artworks. He viewed the documentary \u201cBadalta Bastar (Aamcho Bastar),\u201d screened at the pavilion, and remarked that it captures the region\u2019s ongoing transformation and the state government\u2019s efforts to open new pathways for development and market access. He emphasized that Chhattisgarh is committed to expanding support systems for artisans, forest produce collectors, and rural entrepreneurs, ensuring that their products reach national and international buyers.<\/p>\n
The visit concluded with detailed interactions between the Chief Minister and officials from the Industries Department, who presented updates on new initiatives aimed at strengthening rural enterprises and expanding export opportunities.<\/p>\n
