<\/p>\nTFP Bureau, Raipur, December 13, 2025: As the Chhattisgarh government completed two years in office, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday presented a comprehensive account of the administration\u2019s achievements, asserting that the state has moved decisively from \u201cpublic trust to public welfare\u201d through people-centric governance, rapid development and transparent systems.<\/p>\n
Addressing a press conference at the New Circuit House, the Chief Minister said the mandate given by the people of Chhattisgarh in the name of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi\u2019s guarantees has been honoured with \u201ccomplete dedication and commitment\u201d, resulting in stronger public confidence and visible transformation across sectors.<\/p>\n
Highlighting early decisions, CM Sai said that on the very next day after assuming office, approval was granted for houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to over 18 lakh needy families. Farmers continue to receive paddy procurement at Rs 3,100 per quintal for up to 21 quintals per acre, helping agriculture emerge as a profitable and sustainable livelihood.<\/p>\n
Women empowerment, he said, has received historic momentum through the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, under which nearly 70 lakh women receive Rs 1,000 per month. So far, more than Rs 14,306 crore has been transferred directly into beneficiaries\u2019 accounts through 22 instalments via DBT.<\/p>\n
For tribal communities and forest produce collectors, tendupatta remuneration has been raised from Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,500, benefiting nearly 13 lakh families. The Charan Paduka scheme has been revived, while free ration is being provided to 73 lakh low-income families.<\/p>\n
On employment and youth welfare, the Chief Minister said a transparent recruitment system has been established. The PSC scam has been handed over to the CBI, an annual exam calendar introduced, age limits relaxed, and recruitment initiated for over 32,000 posts. Parallelly, Model ITIs, skill development initiatives, Khelo India Centres, and modern libraries are nurturing youth talent.<\/p>\n
CM Sai said the government is waging a decisive battle against Naxalism, with 505 Naxalites neutralised, 2,386 surrendered and 1,901 arrested in two years. Development-led integration through the Niyad Nella Naar Yojana has brought ration, Aadhaar, Ayushman cards, housing, electricity and roads to remote villages of Bastar, alongside reopened schools, eco-tourism initiatives, Bastar Pandum and Bastar Olympics.<\/p>\n
Cultural and religious heritage is being strengthened through schemes like Shri Ram Lala Ayodhya Dham Darshan Yojana and Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana, while Rajim Kumbh Kalp, Bastar Dussehra and Shakti Peeth development have been accorded renewed prominence.<\/p>\n
More than 400 governance reforms, including e-office systems, digital monitoring portals and convergence mechanisms, have improved transparency. A new industrial policy, decriminalisation of 231 provisions and the Jan Vishwas Act have boosted ease of doing business, attracting investment proposals worth Rs 7.83 lakh crore. GST collection has risen 15 per cent to Rs 23,454 crore.<\/p>\n
Infrastructure has gained unprecedented momentum with rail projects worth over Rs 47,000 crore, expressways linking Visakhapatnam and Ranchi, 37 national highway projects, expanded air connectivity, and new airports. Electricity subsidy up to 200 units, Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana support, affordable housing rules and drinking water to over 40 lakh families reflect inclusive growth, the CM said.<\/p>\n
Marking the two-year milestone, the government also extended a major welfare gift to construction workers. The Labour Department transferred Rs 20.20 crore through DBT to 21,209 registered workers and dependents under 13 welfare schemes. Assistance included housing, maternity support, education scholarships, tool and bicycle aid, death and disability assistance, and support for women\u2019s self-employment and children\u2019s sports and education.<\/p>\n
Calling these initiatives a reflection of the government\u2019s sensitivity towards workers, CM Sai said Chhattisgarh is firmly on the path to becoming a leading state through development, security and good governance.
